Not really. Eating is rather effortless and it is worth a lot since you get pretty much all your energy and building material from food. However sometimes it annoys me to eat if I'm in a hurry. Mostly is annoys me to cook. I'm really not that annoyed about eating. It can even be relaxing. Cooking is never relaxing.

Preparing food is such a burden. I like to eat however, as I generally like to indulge (Especially on the fruits of others labor).

It's a burden to me. I only eat to survive and not look ill. I do enjoy my steaks though.

All of it to feeling hungry, preparing food, to feeling full is a burden almost always.

Some of you folks are lazy. I have recently started experimenting with cooking and I actually enjoy doing it...And am quite marvelous at it too if I may [I must! I must!] say. I dislike putting forth the effort just to cook for myself though. I need an audience.

Vague's comment on laziness reminded me that I hate the clean-up afterwards as well.

There could be more to it than laziness. If someone has no appetite, eating can actually be an unpleasant experience sometimes. A chore at best.

    ???

I don't get it. Eating isn't hard, people.
I don't eat the crazy stuff most people do, very simple. But it's no trouble for me. I rather enjoy eating, honestly.

And I'll enjoy it even more when I get an ESE to cook for me.
I don't mind cooking myself, when I have time or am at home.
But eating here at college? I don't know what I'd do without it.
I'm very aware of how eating affects my energy.

I am not just lazy: I am selectively lazy.

I also dislike eating in public. Self-conscious in that regard.

I like to eat. A lot. Cooking is necessary if you want quality food. I cook a few difficult meals a week. For the rest of the week it's easy things like sandwiches and soups, macaroni, burritos, etc. I usually cook something plentiful on the weekends. Like an entire bag of spaghetti, then eat different eand easy sauces everyday. I usually know what/where I'm going to eat by the time I'm going to work in the morning. Then again, my constitution requires me to eat every 3 hours therefore I have to plan because you can't cook that often and be time efficient. I haven't eaten anything cooked in a microwave in months.

    My favorite burrito:

Jalapeno lime black beans(you can find can this at most supermarkets, at least here in my town)
    Brown rice
    cheese nothing too sharp
    Red bell pepper
chicken cooked with red pepper, and a southwestern seasoning
    Tortilla
    ranch dressing
    Onion
    +
whatever else you can think of

Combine ingredients with your preference of proportions and enjoy. It's a simple and wonderful meal.

for added flavor sautee onions and red bell pepper in butter.

I can cook this meal in under 10 minutes if the rice is prepared.

I'm challenging you, the messageboard, to beat that time It'll be worth your while because not only can you boast(even though in your heart of hearts you'll know you have lost) but you also have a very enjoyable meal.

by the way, people who can't cook remind me of little children. You have to be able to take care of yourself. It's part of being a functional adult. Seriously, do you want to rely on others, or extremely unhealthy convenience for such a huge part on your life? Your health and eating habits are one of the few things you have absolute control over, and to disregard that seems kind of stupid. Oh plus, it gets really expensive to eat out all the time. And it's not as fun because you have to talk to someone who is obviously pretending to be nice to you. In the future we'll just point at menus and circle every side and extra. There will be no eye contact involved. A robot will wash your genitals.

yes, which is why it can sometimes be gross to me to have people push food on you and then get offended when you don't clean your plate (what are you trying to do? stuff me for future slaughter?)

Eating is pleasurable, because things taste good.

Cooking for myself is a bit of a chore, cooking for others is entertaining.

If a person finds eating a chore, that just means he/she isn't exercising enough.

In fact, here's a list of 172 causes of poor appetite (not to mention the 1381 drugs).

I wish more people were self consious about eating in public. Especially when you work in an office and the women exceed, no joke, 300 lbs and insist on gorging themselves on vending machine crap all hours of the day.

Perhaps indirectly. Unfortunately, poor lifestyle choices lead to poor health, and poor health could lead to a poor appetite.

I'm not a big fan of food. I eat to live rather than live to eat. Just imagining the hours I need to spend exercising later simply prevents me from overindulging in food.

I hate cleaning up afterwards too, so I try to clean as I go...each time I use a pot, pan, cutting board, bowl, spoon, etc...

i like to eat. i like to cook. i hate doing dishes but usually do them after i'm done eating. Eating is probably one of my favorite things to do now that I think about it. I think the people in Osaka Japan have it right with the "kuidaore" (eat til you drop) culture. At some point people weren't allowed to have expensive material possessions so they just bought a lot of good food with their money. I like this idea. (I saw one of the No Reservations shows with Anthony Bourdain where he talked about this) <- Good show.
