Can people talk about what they think about needing the world to make sense? Is it a dominant T thing? a J thing? Or is it a human thing?

I think everyone needs certain things to make sense. An ENTj likes to see all of the cause and effect relationships at play. When there's some sort of betrayal involved, Fi comes into question and then there's a need for closure which making sense of all of it helps provide.

For IJs methinks,
the struggle is developing a "static" state of consciousness that incorperates enough things so as to not have to keep reformating it in a negative way, in a painful way.

So learning how to make sense of the world and interalize it somewhat.



I suppose I agree with the conclusions at the bottom of the original post

the world is inherently more chaotic than undersandable.

understanding the nature of chaos helps, then looking for structure in things like snowflakes, animal behavior, and cycles of nature helps me to see that within chaos there are islands of structure.
