i think there is a chance that they´d be creative! not dominant.

they´re like something my INFp sister-in-law might like.

    sorta Ni-Fe dreamy.

    I love MBV.

Actually though, it took me QUITE a while to get into them. I thought I'd never get past the distortion/fuzziness that sounded so incoherent -- but it eventually one day just "clicked!" ... and it was fantastic. Amazing.

I understand the Ni part... I dunno about the Fe.. Fe music I envision to be more blatantly emotional whereareas MBV takes a while to truly "get" just like Ni function itself...

it's very boring. Ni dominant types seem to think things that take up a lot of time are really great and beautiful.

umm if you go on youtube and find a music video by them that you'd say is type-indicative (and post link here) i'll watch and give my opinion, i've never heard of them tho

honestly I can't figure out their type from my limited contact with their work. I went to a lyrics site and looked through the lyrics to a couple of their songs and found them rather restrained:
    ----------------------------------
    TO HERE KNOWS WHEN

    Kiss
    Your fear
    Your red button
    Falls from my mouth

    Slip
    Your dress
    Over your head
    Its been so long

    Move
    On top
    Because that way
    You touch her too

    Turn
    Your head
    Come back again
    To here knows when
    -----------------------------------

How do you find these lyrics to be INFp'ish? To me they are more sensory. There's no use of analogy, rather just a recounting of more direct experience. As an INFp i totally don't get the the Ni vibe from this song. I'd wager maybe ISFp instead?

My definition of the INFp'ish vibe, for example, is found in this song:

    ----------------------------------
    BLONDE REDHEAD ~ FALLING MAN

Tell me how you seek your man
And tell me all your secret spells
    Tell me how you learn
To tell by his voice that he fell
I know a ghost will walk through walls
Yet I am just a man still learning how to fall

    Try to re-imagine me
    And Ill re-invent myself
    Still I remember scenes
Of when you looked at someone else
I know a ghost can walk through the wall
Yet I am just a man still learning how to fall

    When you start doubting me
Then I start to doubt myself
    And never look through me
Cause Ill keep close to myself
I know a ghost can walk through the wall
Yet I am just a man still learning how to fall

    I am what I am
And what I am is who I am
    I know what I know
And all I know is that I fell
If only I could walk through walls
Then maybe I would tell who I was
Yet I am just a man still learning how to fall
    -----------------------

the chorus in this represents Ni -see the symbolism of walls in the song? he doesn't mean he wants to walk through actual concrete walls, but psychological walls. His relation to the ghost walking through the wall is an analogy to him wanting to be able to reveal himself in some way to someone but being unable to because he's not a ghost and can't walk through walls. i know that's confusing and really it loses its impact in explanation but that is Ni and that's why Ni is not really respected or considered useful, practically, in much of today's world, but it non the less finds appreciation in its poetic value

Anyways what do you think of this? does my argument actually change what you think? Obviously I can't claim with any sort of absolute confidence that I'm right. At the same time I find that typing artists by lyrics is fun and I think I'm pretty good at typing INFp lyrics and can provide more examples if you want, i like discussing these things!

Yeah you know, i was just thinking about how blonde redhead's lyrics change the nature of their music for me (it enriches it). I could see Ni in the sense that there is a "timelessness" to the metaphors.. they aren't used to explain a situation at the moment but sort of the way things are in a certain context. It's hard to explain. The music itself is similar to music that i see in connection with types that are not Se. Btw, I think Kazu VI's INTj at present.

Also, the thing i have seen as an Fe creative sound at least has been a kind of "swaying" motion in the sound. I think it's also present in that song.

Adding to what you've said have you noticed also how INFps, in their lyrics, seem to fall into Gulenko's erotic attitude of "Victim" time and time again? I find that helps alot in ascertaining the type for sure. I think the lyricist from New Order is also an INFp and notice the Ni and the "Victim" attitude and how it's kinda similar to the Blonde Redhead song:

    --------------------------------
NEW ORDER ~ BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE

Every time i think of you
I feel shot right through with a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine but it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
    And it's what nobody knows
While every day my confusion grows
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say

I feel fine and I feel good
I'm feeling like I never should
Whenever I get this way, I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday
I'm not sure what this could mean
    I don't think you're what you seem
    I do admit to myself
That if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say

I love that song! Though I prefer the version by Frente!. Another song lyrics which seem to fall into Gulenko's erotic attitude of "Victim". I love this song too. :

    Lovefool by Cardigans
    Dear, I fear we're facing a problem
you love me no longer, I know
    and maybe there is nothing
that I can do to make you do
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother
that I ought to stick to another man
a man that surely deserves me
    but I think you do!

So I cry, I pray and I beg

    Love me love me
    say that you love me
    fool me fool me
    go on and fool me
    love me love me
    pretend that you love me
    leave me leave me
just say that you need me
    Love me love me
    say that you love me
    leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but you...

    Lately I have desperately pondered,
spent my nights awake and I wonder
what I could do have done in another way
    to make you stay
Reason will not lead to solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don't care if you really care
as long as you don't go
