I am like Herzblut ... I rarely watch movies or TV at all, and when I do it is usually something I watched when I was younger.

I love watching Indiana Jones, and actually wanted to grow up to be an archaeologist.

Well, I sort of got my wish ... I have been on several paleontoligical digs and have learned lots of neat anthropological and paleontological stuff.
I have even learned several foreign languages to the point of fluency.

I was called "a seeker" once by a guy I knew who was also into the same sort of stuff. I thought that was an odd coincidence being ENTp and all.

i'm not big into movies although i have hundreds of them given to me by a "benefactor" who shall remain nameless. i have noticed from experience that intj's tend to really like movies or music. like they like to collect and organize things. just an observation.

but i agree with you, rmc, i like older movies from childhood. last night i watched predator, I also like to watch Total Recall. I also like to sometimes watch movies like Weekend at Bernies or Dumb and Dumber. I can't ever get tired of these for some reason. But, of course, indiana jones is one of the all time classics i can never get tired of. Star wars, surprisingly, obsessed me as a little kid, but now i just hate it.

I'll add though, i went a year without TV and it is a very liberating thing. now i have Satellite TV but I never watch it. Gotta force yourself to break free, you'll be much happier.

George Lucas just could not leave a good thing alone is why.

Also, George Lucas is probably an INTj ... sort of oxymoronic.

I don't know if it is caurse of the Socionics or not, but I seem to have noticed like sometimes people pictured in the movie trailers are not from the same type as they look in the movies. I have seen it a lot and may be I am a bad typer or may be I am not and the guilt lies in the movie makers, but I remember as one example, which pops into my mind firstly, that when I saw the move trailer of ''King Arthur,'' the King Arthur was made to look as agressive ESTp, but in the move he was INTj. Have others also notieced simliar tricks?

well, that's close, PTL. You're on the right track.

It is literally a human benefactor(as in type). Modern technology is involved. But of course, it's perfectly legal! I mean, gosh, I'm a good citizen!

That movie was way, way too tense for me. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie, waiting for the next explosion to happen.

Hmmm, an hour and a half is a long time to sit at the edge of a seat ...

Well, i suggest you rent it.

"Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman team up in the drop-dead[lol!] comedy of the year, WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S. The pair star as ambitious young employees who accidentally uncover an embezzlement scam in their company. Bernie(terry Kiser), their boss, rewards their efforts by inviting them to his beachside pleasure palace for the weekend. When the boys arrive, they find that Bernie has been bumped off. But even a stiff won't stop this party. Aided by the charms of Gwen (Catherine Mary Stewart), the boys make quite a splash as they doge bullets, babes and bodies in the wackiest, wildest weekend of their lives."
