I don't think your father is INTP MAria.
Somewhere you had his pics, I think that he is INFJ.

thank you for posting this here, since everyone wants to know about my dad.
i've asked "the russians" about him. right now, they think he looks like
a) nap
b) dreiser
c) gaben
d) robespierre
this is all making v.i. strange.
gilly thinks he's ESFj.
he's an interesting guy, at any rate.

INFj is interesting, but i don't really know.... (it's like, the last thing i ever would have thought of for my dad's type, heh.)

I don't know about INTP, because I don't know MBTI.
I do think he looks like a possible INTp. It's most visible in his childhood picture.
EIE, ENFj, intuitive subtype.

He looks SOOOO ENTj that it's scary.

I don't see any problem with INFJ:

By the way, I don't have any spcial interest in the lovely Mr. Maria's Father, but there are some thigns about MAria that I liked so I wanted to know more about her upbringing.

After seeing these pictures, I'm actually with FDG. ENTj>ENFj, IMO. But quite obviously EJ.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Well I am pretty sure that one of implied's parents is INFJ, the question is which one.

my mom would be the more likely candidate.Originally Posted by Dioklecian

Maria, I'm going on the record: you are Delta NF.

I got it, your dad is ISFJ.

i came here thinking i was ENFp. i think a lot of people then thought i was ENTp or INTj. my primary modes on mcnew's old tests were like, very INFj.
in any case, if i'm SF, i'm ISFj. i *know* i'm highly compatible with my father and we can always talk and debate about anything, slightly less so with my mother.
however, if by some chance i married an ENTj in the future, we would certainly have to get a maid.![]()

Well, I always tell people: Benefit is the second most common relationship among married couples, according to the Russians (after duality), so its obviously quite compatible.
For what it's worth, my INFj sister tells me ALL THE TIME that I'm "SO much like" my ESTj mother![]()

she's pretty aggressive, apparently. my dad and everyone in the family compares me w/ her, too. i tend to think we're the same type, although i never thought she was INFj.![]()

To be perfectly honest, I was somewhat tempted to say ENFj at first, which could somewhat explain the aggression. She actually looks morethan
, IMO.

Gilligan, I am sorry to say but you are not ENTP in my opinion. My father is one, my roomate was one, I have been in constant contact with ENTPs for 95% of the all my days in this planet.Originally Posted by Gilligan

By all means, Dio, start a type thread on my family. I'm more than willing to talk about them. But don't invade Maria's thread.

But you have a good point, sometimes the threads get too confusing with extra info.

i will say that, something he does NOT do which makes me think NOT ENFj is that he will not generally pressure you to do something faster. he can be sort of emo and over the top like ENTjs can be, but he generally doesn't strike me as a pressurizing person. my dad is a good egg.![]()

we moved around a lot. like i never exactly established "roots" because we were always switching places. i guess this is also a good thing. i'm used to moving, experienced a wide variety of cultures/living conditions, became quite good at adapting and getting situated (generally flying by the seat of my pants.)
he was very into getting me to participate in things and i was always welcome to sit around at his office and get more of an idea about the medical field. of course, he'd be thrilled if i were following his footsteps, but it became pretty clear that i was a lot better at languages and more interested in them, culture, etc. he was very supportive in letting me do what i want to do. lots of freedom, there. i was encouraged to fuck up a lot, but it's mostly because i have a bad habit of having to try everything myself before i figure out that it's bad for me. also a very passionate person, "loves life" like most ENTjs, that's a very prominent aspect of his personality. definitely values life, VERY much. loves his friends. i don't know what my mom did to get him to settle down.
he used to drill me about history and the like when i was little. i don't know, talk about someone who loves their kid. it's surprising to me.
i should reconsider ISFj! if i were less lazy and more consistently motivated, it would be perfect.
