Tom Homan As New Border Czar ! Lucky you America !
He's the "F around and Find out" type of guy !
I thought it was clear I meant, 'please don't think of the govt. as operating in the manner of a business.' The two have separate goals.
In terms of money, there are really two economies. One economy is for profit, and the other is not. In the second economy, you either can't make a profit (because it is impossible to make it more efficient) or you shouldn't make a profit. Amazon and Apple fall into the first category, and string quartets and the police should, if all goes well, fall into the second.
In some societies, at some times, the police do make a profit. But we, here and now, have decided that it's cheaper for our society to pay the police good salaries and to punish any nascent law-enforcement entrepreneurs.
There's nothing intelligent in your posts to begin with - it's just you flailing your arms, stating you have psychotic tendencies, one moment you're threatening to kill random people / disowning your parents (who gave birth to / worked tirelessly to raise your bratty ass, obviously didn't paddle it hard enough)... the next you're presuming to moralize to everyone while lacking any coherent moral framework, as if you have a shred of integrity anyway. Next you're speaking as if transgenderism is an ontologically coherent category, which it isn't... next you're planning to join a church so that you can hide from some delusion of the transgenders being rounded up and killed soon (no one anywhere believes this is a possibility, in all seriousness you're probably schizophrenic if you believe this might happen)... next you're citing some disjointed, pseudo-intellectual paper that simply says a Christian government intends on persecuting minorities "cuz Nazis"... this is nothing, there is no logic here... branding people Nazis is the lowest form of political discourse. Meanwhile... your reaction is actually mimicking how we're seeing others respond on social media, meaning it's not even authentic, you're obviously just copying people... which means you're willing to disown your parents in order to follow a trend, which makes you a conformist sellout so desperate for approval you would betray and disown you own parents... very pathetic, as if you could make it in the real world on your own, as if you don't already know they'll just take you right back after your little temper tantrum is done with...
Obviously you've been spoiled and sheltered your entire life, I can tell that from the way you take these social trends so seriously - working people, i.e. people living in the real world, don't do this... they don't have time, they're concerned with managing to pay their rent or healthcare bills... most people would be grateful to have parents to help them, you don't understand what an embarrassment you are. I'd actually encourage you to disown your parents - it'll get your bratty little ass out of their house, and into the real world where you'll have to fend for yourself - it'll correct many of these behaviors.

I really don't even know what you're on about. You just made a shitload of assumptions about me and pat yourself on the back. Yeah, I've been mad because my country voted in fascism and seem fine with it. And I can't accept being around a parent that takes in the far-right and "refuses to talk about politics" when I contradict her. No, she voted against my rights. That's extremely fucked up. Call it psychotic, but if somebody isn't even bothered in the slightest by this, something is wrong. They want to take away people rights and have us controlled by a majority Republican party led by a conman with almost zero morals. He won't even sign a fucking ethics pledge. You're incredibly delusional. Trump won't save you. He doesn't even have a plan. He wants to be a cruel tyrant and somehow got enough people on his side to get him elected again.
And I'm only responding in defense of my character. You sound pretty unhinged yourself, so you can fuck off.
SNAFU
What's Trump's tariffs going to do, dummies? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZUUMysAwlU That's a tax on you. We don't have the infrastructure or cheap ass labor that China has, so you're going to pay more. He's not saving you money either by going after LBGT or immigrants. All that shit is going to cost you. And without cheap labor from immigrants, the prices again go up.
And him gutting government programs isn't going to save you money, unless he also gives tax cuts to the middle class and lower, which apparently he's NOT going to do -
- Doubling Down on Tax Cuts for the Rich at the Expense of Working Families (https://nwlc.org/resource/project-20...ender-justice/)
The only thing he's going to do that might help is "drilling". But oh wait, we already drill most everything. https://www.citizen.org/article/bidens-oil-letdown/
Speaking at the Glasgow climate summit, President Joe Biden called on world leaders to make dramatic progress on climate change. This is a decisive decade in which we have an opportunity to prove ourselves,” he said. “We can keep the goal of limiting global warming to just 1.5 degrees Celsius within our reach if we come together, if we commit to doing our part of each of our nations with determination and with ambition.” Yet under Biden, the U.S. government continues to lease land for drilling and issue permits for drilling at a frightening pace. In the coming months, energy companies are likely to mount a well-funded campaign to continue business as usual. Congress and the Biden administration must resist that pressure and push aggressively to move the nation – and the world – away from planet-destroying fossil fuels.
And fine, maybe you don't care about trans, but he's going after not just trans, but all LGBT protections and trying to erase them altogether by removing them from schools and any institutions that recognize L, G, B, or T. And it's amazing people like Blaire White and stupid lesbians talk about how they love Trump and voted for Trump. The voted against themselves to spite the Left! It's like I'm living in crazy world.
I'm sorry, but...how...fucking...stupid...can...this...fuckin g...country...be....like get fucking real.
And don't get me started on how Russia uses these fucking wedge issues, like LGBT or immigrants, to piss people off so we put people like Donald Trump into office! Because it fucks up our country! Destroy from within! It's the KGB handbook. Right now Putin is mocking Trump on Russian news! Why? Because it sows more discontent. Get Trump riled up even more and cause more chaos. Come on, for fuck's sake, just open your eyes!

What happened is you / your ilk embarrassed yourselves / the rest of the leftwing party so deeply so many times that the whole society decided to ignore you... they also came to realize there's no substantive rationale underlying your claims, that you're just a minority of chaos-seeking brats arm flailing and attention seeking, essentially. And so they elected Trump / the republicans, who actually rationally articulated their views and made policy proposals regarding relevant issues such as foreign policy, economics, and so on. You know, because to win an election you must make a case to normal, sane people who live in the real world... i.e. you have to do more than scream NAZI!!! F@sCiSt!!! like an idiot. That might work to get attention on reddit but it doesn't win elections.

I have nothing but complete shame for America. We are a laughing stock and if Trump doesn't somehow stay in power after his 4 years are up and we actually have fair elections, I will never forgive you Republican assholes. Unless the Left becomes like you, I will always vote Left on everything now. No more research, if it's a Republican, fuck em.
SNAFU
Okay, I'm just going to state the fact. I've never been very political before, aside from talking about it with some people online and complaining when Obama got elected. I always voted Republican up to Obama. I voted Biden because Trump is nuts and I never talked about politics before. I'm Independent, not even Left. Now after this shit and because of people like you assuming everyone is fucking Left because they don't agree with you or get bothered by shit, yeah NOW I'm LEFT, you're damn fucking right. As far as I'm concerned, you're a fucking TRAITOR. You ruined this country because of your petty bullshit for hating the Left. You gave in to the Russian's bullshit.
And you're always online, dude, you respond to everything right away. Don't you have a life? Sounds like you are everything you just accused me off. Dog of Shit, that's you.
SNAFU
a) the increase in wages offsets the cost of production passed onto consumers, the money circulating will build up / enrich the United States rather than foreign nations
b) we have an estimated 20-30 million immigrants in the country, there are not enough strawberry picking jobs for all of these people. And if we need laborers we can give them work visas, they can come here legally.
Now, for the deeper problem...
Your argument here is based on a very false pretense that you're qualified to make statements regarding tariffs and how they're going to effect the economy broadly. In reality you're simply not an economist, and what you're actually doing is mindlessly regurgitating political talking points, and passing them off as your own thoughts... you don't actually have your own thoughts regarding this, that's an illusion... As I've said many times, you cannot talk meaningfully about economics in the abstract, there are practically no economic policies which are beneficial or detrimental in all cases... to assess whether a tariff would be good policy requires doing a comprehensive analysis of the specific tariff, the specific entity and sector it's being applied to, considering all the many aspects of the economy impacted, projecting the impact over time... it takes a very serious analysis to comment intelligently on economic policy.
What's worse is the best economists don't even agree with one another. Because as the problem grows in complexity the outcomes become uncertain and the economist has to take certain liberties, and make certain assumptions.
Furthermore, there's a political motive at play, and each side just chooses the economists who agree with them philosophically and arrive at favorable conclusions for them.
Point is it is completely meaningless for us to sit here, not even really educated in economics or knowing the specific tariff we're talking about, and to regurgitate the policies proposed by one candidate or another. Completely stupid and meaningless. Do you understand?
That's probably not an answer you'll find satisfying or pay any heed to, but it's the reality.
Here's my response: Trump is a billionaire, a businessman, and went to a top economics / business school. You have no such education. And Harris is a lawyer, not an economist. Will tariffs work? I have no idea, but what we're doing thus far isn't working and I'm willing to let a businessman who's a billionaire, who clearly loves our country, do what he thinks needs to be done. And our economy did very well the last time he was in charge, so it's not like we haven't tried this already.
No, government inefficiency is a major problem for launching projects. And if we don't broadly cut the size of government, and reduce its budget, the debt will continue to mount... and the currency will continue to be downgraded, and the dollars buying power on the international market will continue to decrease. Which for us just means prolonged inflation.
This is another aspect of the domestic production problem you ignore (of course you're not even aware of it) - when companies make their product domestically you can collect income tax and other taxes, increased revenue is another way of balancing the budget.
Also... Trump sent people tax refunds during his term, and the amount of tax they collected was on par with previous terms despite the tax cuts due to increases in investments. But tax cuts wouldn't "hurt" working families anyway, unless they actually corresponded with cuts to entitlements, which haven't been proposed. Again, taxation is not a public service - you might want to read the earlier posts in this thread, where this has been explained. Or just use your brain and figure it out.
Biden canceled the keystone pipeline, that's one major change Trump will make. For drilling more broadly - you'd really need to be an expert on government regulation over the oil sector to even comment on this much further, which... you obviously aren't, I don't know why you're pretending to be.
What's destroying the planet is water pollution and deforestation. CO2 raises sea levels... it inconveniences human civilization, it does not destroy the biosphere. There were times in the past, on this planet, where CO2 levels were far, far higher than what they are today. It also leaves the atmosphere after about a thousand years.
On the other hand, if you pollute the ocean with plastics and all kinds of toxic solutions, if you make them acidic and uninhabitable... that does destroy the planet.
If humanity had any sense that's where they'd be focusing their efforts.
It'd be nice if there were a simple solution to it, but the main issues are
a) the main polluters are developing nations, not modern nations, and they're just not interested in clean energy
b) nuclear is the only clean energy source that can produce enough power for civilization, but nuclear meltdowns are actually far more dangerous to human beings than CO2 will ever be. It takes at least 20,000 years for nuclear radiation to go away
c) we just have no practical ability to actually get off of fossil fuels
if it were actually the end of the world that'd be one thing, but it isn't, we should just focus on the oceans.
You are indeed living in a crazy world, a world where you believe transgenderism is a positive good for people and for society. Transgenderism is a fake condition, it's manmade / based on phony data, it's a medical scandal.
You're a complete moron, you have not said anything intelligent thus far.
This statement is really proof you've drunk the koolaid - the Dem party has been dividing the American public along racial and sexual identity lines for decades, it's practically all they do... Did some lib news outlet tell you Russia was intent on dividing the American public based on racial / sexual identity lines? That's hilarious.
Your post focuses very heavily on transgenderism. There are much bigger problems in the world than transgenderism - looming WW3, downgrading of the US dollar, mounting debt, inflation, broken school system, mental health crisis, skyrocketing cost of rent and housing, broken healthcare system, broken immigration system, fentanyl epidemic, autism epidemic, hell we even have UFOs flying around... the world has bigger problems than whether you want to cut off your penis.
Thank you for admitting you know nothing about politics. Everyone could already tell that but now you've admitted it. Now if only you'd stop talking and let the adults speak / obey your parents all would be great.
You betrayed your parents / threatened to kill them due to their voting patterns - that makes you a traitor by definition, doesn't it you deluded, brainwashed little brat..? You're also an embarrassment, trying to get "street cred" by loudly proclaiming you're a leftist and copying the reactions of other leftists on social media lamenting your election loss.
It was the left that decided to trans the kids, among other things... they incurred our wrath and justifiably so.
You really do need to lay off the koolaid.
The Russia collusion hoax was debunked 6 years ago at this point. But answer me one simple question - if Donald Trump was in the pocket of the Russians why did he sanction the Nord Stream 2 pipeline? And why did Biden approve the pipeline when he first entered office? Try explaining that one.
Of course you can't explain it, you're just a fucking sheeple mindlessly repeating this 6 year old propaganda, even the dumber leftists are skeptical of RUSSIA!! at this point.
I never had a mental break / disowned my parents / threatened to kill them because they voted for the opposing political party - I did some stupid things growing up but fortunately did have some basic respect / gratitude for the people who had raised me. You're just a dumb little brat, your parents should kick your little ass to the curb.
Carry onward!

Alright, Mark Cuban, a much better businessman than Trump, says Tariffs won't work, if you need a businessman to "make it sound better".
As far as I'm aware, Trump isn't going after the debt. At least he hasn't made that claim and it's not on his agenda. If you have "evidence" that it is, show it or you're making stuff up. Trump has so far from his last term and to compare to Biden - https://www.crfb.org/papers/trump-an...-national-debt
- President Trump approved $8.4 trillion of new ten-year borrowing during his full term in office, or $4.8 trillion excluding the CARES Act and other COVID relief.
- President Biden, in his first three years and five months in office, approved $4.3 trillion of new ten-year borrowing, or $2.2 trillion excluding the American Rescue Plan.
- President Trump approved $8.8 trillion of gross new borrowing and $443 billion of deficit reduction during his full presidential term.
- President Biden has so far approved $6.2 trillion of gross new borrowing and $1.9 trillion of deficit reduction.
Doesn't look like he cares about debt...he pulled more debt than Biden and less deficit reduction...
As far as drilling, again all Trump said is he wants to drill on "National Parks" and it looks like maybe Alaska. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...dlife-election
Imagine, for a moment, oil and gas infrastructure carving up Alaska’s far northern tundra, a refuge for migrating caribou and polar bears. Copper-nickel mines on the doorstep of one of the largest wilderness areas east of the Rockies, a nearly 1.1m-acre (450,000-hectare) expanse of pristine lakes and forests full of loons, wolves and moose. Or uranium and coal exploration in once-protected landscapes, including areas bordering the Grand Canyon.
If Donald Trump wins the US presidential election in November, these projects will probably be on the table as part of an energy-dominance agenda focused on resource extraction. “We will drill, baby, drill,” Trump said in July as he officially accepted the Republican nomination at the party’s national convention in Milwaukee.
Now I don't know what that's going to actually do for lowering prices. I can't find anything, but google AI says
Drilling in national parks would likely provide minimal benefit to the economy while causing significant harm to the environment, wildlife, and visitor experience, meaning it would "help" very little and could actually be detrimental to the park's purpose and value; the potential negative impacts from drilling, like habitat disruption, pollution, and landscape alteration, far outweigh any potential economic gains from oil extraction within a national park.
If you have information that says otherwise you should state it or it's just your opinion that it will make very much difference at all.
As far as climate change, nuclear is a good option. Trump hasn't said anything clear about that though. https://www.utilitydive.com/news/nuc...-rogan/732407/
- President-elect Donald Trump in August vowed to “approve new drilling, new pipelines, new refineries, new power plants [and] new reactors” on “day one” of his administration.
- But Trump has more recently sounded skeptical about federal backing for large-scale nuclear builds like Vogtle, which he said in an Oct. 25 interview with podcaster Joe Rogan “get too big, and too complex and too expensive,” raising questions about his second administration’s willingness to support the industry.
- The nuclear sector has mixed views on the incoming administration’s potential support, with some expressing optimism that Trump would build on pro-nuclear policies enacted during the Biden and first Trump administrations and others concerned about a pullback in federal funding for advanced nuclear development.
As far as everything else you said about me. I don't really care what you think. I'm only responding because I actually care to be informed. If you can actually state sources and not just your opinion to show how I'm wrong, I'd like to hear it. Otherwise, you are noise and you just seem to get off on trying to put everyone down for not agreeing with or being emotional. I'm not going to hold back my honest emotions just because you don't like it and don't think I should.
SNAFU
I think that this time the people have been brainwashed by media to vote republican. The day of the election, the google result for 'why is biden not running' was very high. I think the average person does not care much about politics, or stays informed about it while living their life. Kamala Harris was simply a candidate that didn't stick out in a popularity contest. That this election has now significant global consequences was probably not on many people's radar.
@Still Alive
Apparently google results for what tariffs are went up as well. There is at least one interview on youtube where one immigrant voter voted Trump, only to realize later that Trump is going to deport their illegal family members. He thought he wouldn't do it to the "good families". Another immigrant proudly wearing maga and saying her illegal family members aren't talking to her anymore and doesn't understand, but she thinks they should get deported...the rabbit hole is bizarre. Then there's palestinian supporters that thought Trump would remove support from Israel, which I kind of thought was the case too, but apparently he's pro Israel...so there's that too. There's these outspoken Lesbians that hate Trans for some reason, think it erases them or something and they voted Trump to spite them, but now realize they are going to lose protections too...Or husbands that voted against their wives and their rights and now the wives want a divorce...I don't blame them. You have Nick Fuentes, pretty much a Nazi, saying "Your body, my choice". He got doxxed and is now crying that people come to his house to bother him...
I'm going to go to the beach tomorrow and relax with a book, since I haven't been eating as much as I should or sleeping consistently. There's nothing anyone can do now and I guess I need to accept it. I don't know what's going to happen, but maybe I will move to a blue state. I need to use my GI Bill and it might be fun to go back to school without pressure. I don't feel good about Florida anymore. It just feels evil with Ron Desantis. This is all so odd. But I guess horrible shit has happened before. The government rounded up Japanese during WW2 and civil rights for blacks and women getting a vote wasn't that long ago. I just didn't realize the US was unstable, like the rest of the world. It just felt like it would never really get this bad. I'm jealous you live in Germany, but I guess even you all have the far-right advancing in your politics...
SNAFU
An education is expensive, but it's not as expensive as being ignorant.
I hope that the people who voted for Trump, and will be personally hurt by him, will learn something from the experience, but they probably won't. I mean, no matter how many times you do it, your cat keeps falling for the laser pointer trick.
I took a road trip and visited Florida when I was in high school. My impression of the state was that I thought it should be walled-off and pushed out to sea, along with all of it's inhabitants.
I've been there a few times since then. I've seen Omega Centauri from the southern keys, and I've walked around in shirt sleeves in January on Florida's Emerald Coast, but I'd still be fine with pushing the state out to sea.
Vote with your feet. Your true tribe might not be found in Florida.
One thing to know: 40% of the people in every country aren't comfortable in a liberal democracy. That applies to Germany, to Chile, to Argentina, to China, to India, to the US, and to every other country. Since 40% of every country DOES believe in liberal democracy, what matters is who influences the 20% in the middle.
Now, what did I do with that laser pointer?
I don't think the far-right plays a big role in germany (yet). Can't guarantee that it won't be the case in the future, but they mostly get 30% in the least developed regions in the east, not on a national scale. They also support russia, which most germans see as the enemy at the moment. At worst we get the CDU in february which are christian conservatives, but if the center-left party SPD plays their cards a bit right and learned something from the clusterfuck of the democrats campaign, they might ditch Olaf Scholz and nominate Pistorius as chancellor nominee at the last second, who is very popular as a politician. I think a big coalition between center right and center-left is the most likely scenario. People can hate on trump voters all they want, but the democratic campaign was abysmal, and people noticed. It's unfortunate that you only have a two party system, but I would not have voted for Harris as I think she is incompetent and evil. Turns out many felt the same, as the election wasn't won by more Trump voters, but rather by fewer democrat voters.
Six days after Trump's election, my son came over and told me that Trump's election is going to be a disaster for America.
I asked him why he thinks that? My son is a free-lance train photographer, and he has a lot, and I mean, a lot, of contacts in the US train industry.
Son: "It's going to be a disaster because of tariffs! Fewer car exports, fewer grain and corn exports. The last time Trump was president, midwest farmers couldn't sell their crops. This time, it's going to get worse. Much worse. Rail traffic is down by thirty percent right now."
Adam: "But railroad profits are up."
He looked at me. "That's because they are laying off thirty percent of their workforce!"
Adam: "Right. Trump is going to be a disaster for the American economy, but he's going to be good for the stock market. If I recall correctly, much of the train industry is owned by billionaires, and billionaires are not going to let themselves lose money. Even if you and your friends have to lose your jobs to ensure that."
"Welcome to Trump World."
I believe the pertinent phrase here is "FAFO".
I work for germany's largest train company. I have relatively high position despite not working so much anymore. My job mainly focuses on planning in advance and strategic thinking which I excel at. Looking at all the nominations Trump has proposed, it seems to me like he is nominating a bunch of people who have no business of being in the position they are in, like you would invite some random guy to my job when it takes years to understand everything. This obviously cannot end well. Some of the nominations almost seem comical. Sometimes I wonder how much damage one person in the wrong position can do due to our interconnected world. Like significant horrors will be the result of whimsical decisions. As a german, I do have to admit that I personally hope for a weakened america. It feels to me that this free flow of information without considering the other person as a potential enemy is coming to an end, which is kinda sad.
Ok now I really must check you here. I like you my dude. Truly you may disagree with me on many a thing but you've been far more rational in still holding that one ought listen to what I have to say regardless. While I be a "conservative" and you a "liberal" you admitted that people like me run things through more filters than your kind do. That solidified it for me. If you speak against me I really ought to pay attention to that and vice versa.
I voted for Trump because I knew that if America fell to the final push from the Bureaucratic Elite that's it. If the friggin' sniveling, inhuman, delusional, bureaucrats took over America that was it. Humanity was doomed to die a slow and most degrading of deaths. The nightmare of a "Warrior-Nobility" (and ironically the "merchants" as those two are inextricably linked as the things that make you a great warrior make you a great merchant as well but I digress) would be fully realized. The insufferable Karens and their sniveling sorry excuses for men that simp for them would have won.
Bureaucrats and Priests make up the other dipole of this horror show. The "Priests", however, have something more in common with the merchants and Warrior-Nobility than the Bureaucrats even if "Organized Religion" is more bureaucratic than not. They're still human. What does each class I have mentioned provide that is indispensable to the human experience? Only Bureaucrats fail this test.
A Warrior-Nobility can and often does protect the weak from the invading army with physical force. The Merchant provides goods and services at a reasonable price from their client's pool of time, energy, and resources. The Priest provides a framework that gives meaning to even the most mundane and menial of tasks. What does the bureaucrat provide outside the framework provided by the other classes? None. Their perfect dystopia is a Tyranny without a Tyrant.
A system of evil perfect in its boring banality. Live in ze pod! Eat ze bugs! Own nothing and be happy because if you fail to sign form 666 in the correct way you are a dissident and must be rendered into Soylent Corpse Starch!
Does anyone else think what's wrong with this country is uneducated poor people? If only people who shared my class interests and status voted!
@End as a sorry excuse for a man, I curse you and your Trump vote. I wrote in Jeb! that I might degrade strong men like you and damn your kind to miserable servitude and extinction. Now that Trump has won, the future of humanity is secured, and all my effort (which is doubly or triply as strenuous for me as it would be for a man of your caliber, let me assure you) has been for naught. Woe to me, woe to the goddess-Karens.
Yes we see you have drunken Trumps latest vendetta against faceless evil beuracrats. Jesus c why can't Trump just do whatever the fuck he wants without like, you know like, mean government agents like, stopping him. Like, you know ??
I'm just playing around end, you know that, but really is this free thought or this just parroting the latest waaaa I don't wanna from Trump?
The Presidential election is overrated. The President of the United State is not the Supreme Chancellor for God's sake ! (Just kidding ! )
Edit : This video has been released seven years ago. The phrase "The attempt on my life has left me scared" takes a whole new dimension is the light of what happened on September 15th 2024, it left Trump scarred too (at least physically since his ear was injured).

Valley Girl accent aside you are getting at my main point.
Bureaucrats are the worst ruling class one can suffer under. The others at least have their redeeming qualities. Bureaucrats have none.
In fact I feel that you may be one yourself. I can almost feel your butthurt in being called out as a useless parasite that feasts upon the truly productive masses.
I may be wrong here but I've seldom missed in this regard. You could become something useful. Confucius was a bureaucrat who successfully became something productive, but he was Confucius. A man who could admit the fact he was a useless POS if he really was. A rare paper pusher who understood the full ramifications of Noblesse Oblige. Good luck finding men of his caliber within the vast bureaucracies of the modern world today...
FreelancePoliceman, I know you're not being serious here, but you are expressing my own views on the subject.
As a Gamma, I have strong democratic leanings. I'm not always right, and I was brought up being told that democracy was the best form of government, and I had no reason to doubt it. So, when I ran into a few problems at work to which I didn't know the answer, I asked the people that I work with (the whole company, actually), what decision should I make?
The results were interesting. Half the time, the group (democratic) answer turned out to be correct and best for everyone, and half the time, it wasn't. So the results of my little experiment mirrored pure chance. I should add that all the people I work with are extremely competent. I wouldn't do this experiment with a group of average people taken off the street.
I still believe that democracy produces the best results, on average, not because democracy is so great (it isn't), but rather because a few dictators can do so much harm.
The US was not conceived as a democracy. The guys who wrote the constitution only let white, male, land-owning adults vote. People of their class, that is. This policy seems to have consistently produced both good and bad outcomes equally often, but at least we're not North Korea.
@End, I listen to you, not because I agree with your perspective, but rather because you have intelligent things to say and you aren't trying to be an asshole saying them. It's obvious to me that you've thought a lot about this stuff, and I respect that. You have a valid viewpoint and the intelligence to present it, and so I listen to what you have to say.
Truthfully, you are like an early warning system for what is wrong in America.
I've felt for many years that the ruling class in America (consisting of rich people, both liberals and conservatives) was not taking the actions that they should in order to promote the general welfare. I mean, the levels of greed and selfishness that I saw when they were allowed to export jobs to China was breathtaking.
When a country runs a deficit like the US has done, by absorbing the surplus production from the entire fucking world (I'm looking at you, China, and you, Germany), one of two things happen. One thing that can happen is unemployment in the deficit country, and that was the first shock in the 1980's. The second thing that can happen is that the deficit country goes into debt, as they buy stuff produced by surplus countries while losing jobs to them.
On average, when you spend and you don't have a job, you go into debt.
The US has masked this debt problem for decades by printing money to support the un- and under-employed people who lost their jobs when the US ruling class exported their jobs to China for the sake of reducing their labor costs and making themselves richer. It's nice when you have captured the Treasury.
But this can't last. Eventually, the US (and Canada) just can't keep printing money and absorbing the unemployment of surplus countries.
Trump thinks that he is acting in the interests of the working class by advocating tariffs to slow down the US from buying foreign-made products, but in typical Trump fashion, it's not the most intelligent way to stop the bleeding. China will just find other ways to get goods into the US. The correct way to stop the bleeding out of the working class is to completely halt foreign capital inflows into the US. That way, the money that US consumers spend on Chinese goods can't return to the US, and if the Chinese can't spend the dollars*, they will stop taking them.
But can Trump halt capital inflows into the US, when the Finance industry lives on foreign capital? Not too fucking likely. Trump's ineffective tariffs will only increase prices on US consumers and won't solve the real problem, but the Finance industry is actually fine with that.
Anyway, End, your basic premise is correct. It is just a shame that Trump has proven himself, time and time again, to be a business moron.
*The reason we have to stop all capital inflows into the US is because China will just spend their dollars in India, which will spend the dollars in Bolivia, which will spend the dollars in the US, and by this means, the dollars will inevitably return to the US by this roundabout route, to still wipe out jobs in the US.
P.S.
If anyone reading this didn't understand any of the above, that's why I don't ask for your vote in deciding how to run my company.

Lmao. Thanks for the laughs thank-you.
I was 1200meters up north Vancouver island hooking for the hooktender and yarder operator. We are logging Hemlocks and yellow cedars, second growth.
I'm off today to go firewooding for regional residents so I can save enough money to get back home 800kms. Driving in my 7.3 lite deisel f350 2002. I took the canopy off and converted it into a wood box I built with ply wood and 2×4s with ripped cut side walls I built using a balsam fir I cut down and in October.
But thank you again for the laughs omfg. I'm not a beauracrat. I'm also not against the government. Only against, we'll against isn't even the word. I just see hypocrisy and lack surprise.
If you want you can come split wood with me I'm using Friskars brand axes. I'm inky paying 100 though for a full cord which is 126 cubic feet. I'll take the remainder as I'm charging customers 300 plus 75 delivery, or 525 for two cords plus 150 delivery.
If you don't believe me I don't care. But you should I'm incredibly honest (but I'll only tell you what I think you can handle if it's overly personal)
I know 100 percent I'm literally more productive than you are.
128 cubic feet **
One thing about ESIs is that they are true to their beliefs.
That is a super-good trait, in the eyes of LIEs, who tend to have "flexible" ethics.
Democratic Republics and feudal systems are not that different. A ruling class and class ruled, a rich minority ruling over a poor majority. The main difference is just the comfort of life relative to progress and that benefit to all classes, in other word the betterment of the life condition of the poor is essential for the cohesion of a society cause it makes the poor less aware of his condition. Indeed, if the poors could really see the lifestyle of the rich ruling class they would think that they live in a different world. This has always been true in all times, the luxury display of the rulers being part of their communication of power.
So terms, titles and life conditions evolve, but the existence of a ruling class (regardless of its legitimity) in every society from the little tribe to great civilisations is a constant that pertains to an Universal truth in the human condition.
We are a gregarious species that comes in "classes" just like bees and Ants. Some of us are genetically, ontologically even, programmed to rule and others to follow the ruler. That's the truth.
Of course, some people will change the terms and talk about oppressors vs oppressed, but at the end of the day, nature doesn't care. Indeed, I 've never seen a worker bee rebelling about its life condition because of the fact that it is not born as a Queen Bee..
Brought to you by :
Feudal systems are characterized by the inability of a worker to sell his labor to whomever he wants. The transition to capitalism makes a huge difference to workers, especially if your feudal lord and master is an asshole. And in my considerable experience, 80% of bosses are bad bosses.
Aside from that, yes, almost all societies have classes. A study I read said that people want and expect there to be differences in wealth in a society; they just think that those differences should be less than they are at present, and I agree with that.
I agree too. I think that dignity and work are interconnected. Some people live to work and are happy to do that, when they retire they often die soon after*. However, I think there is also a notion relative to decency in the rapport between the level of wealth of rich people and that of the so-called worker class and to a certain degree the middle class.
There is imho another class of rich people that is more contemporary and somewhat relative to the creation new Industries like the entertainment industry which is a huge umbrella that encompasses the rich Sports people (Astronomical salaries in NBA, Football, Soccer etc..), Hollywood actors and producers, Pop singers, Youtubers etc...
That said I really don't know what I'm talking about here.
I wanted to know about it more, I think this article is interesting :
https://www.forbes.com/sites/steveve...hat-to-expect/
I grew up in a lower-middle class family in an Ohio industrial town. My family was solid Republican and pretty poor. When my dad got out of the army, he worked as an accountant for a small manufacturing company and he and my mother had three kids. We lived in a tiny house and I got one pair of shoes per year and two pairs of pants, purchased just before school started, and was told to make them last, because I wasn't getting more. But, I was born smart and I worked hard, and I got into the Honors program at the University of Michigan based on that. Ohio State was free, but my mother agreed to sending me to Michigan, even though it cost a lot. Because I got into the Honors program, she said.
So, it was with some surprise when one of the first courses I took at Michigan (because I was secretly interested in overthrowing the US government by force and violence) was a detailed explanation of Revolutions and the Capitalist System, just laid out for all to see. It basically said that there are only two classes which matter; the rich and the politically powerful, and when they are the same class, you will not get a revolution.
My teachers explained that the ruling class of the US was generally fine with how things were set up, but revolutionaries arise from all classes, not just the rulers, and so they were using the school system of scholarships to co-opt poor but potential revolutionaries, and therefore future threats to their rule, by identifying them early and bringing them into the ruling class, and educating them in how the system really works.
Because if you are going to rule effectively, you need to know what the hell you are doing, and why.
My opinion of this is that it is what it is. I now have slightly more nuanced views of democracy and authoritarian systems than I did then, but the basics aren't really much different.
As for "dropping the pretense", there was never any pretense, per se. The information is out there, if you look for it. Rather, there is only distraction and induced feelings of futility.
So, if you want to avoid all that, spend some time learning how the system actually operates, and where the best place is to put the dynamite. Or the support scaffolding, depending on your preferences. If that's too much for you, then you are not cut out to be an effective revolutionary.

I was checking my youtube subscription page and found this video that just came out (3 hours ago). I haven't watched it yet but figured that the Universe wanted me to post it here because it might be relevant so here it is.
I have a theory...they won't learn even if hurt. Well no it's more than a theory, not even a conspiracy theory. I fit the facts with the data to come up with the simplest and perhaps 'only' or 'most' sensible explanation. Some people may already know this, but I'm finding it for the first time.
Some things have been bothering me. Putin openly mocks Trump, but Trump never responds (which is UNLIKE him) and Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's nomination for director of national intelligence, is spreading Russian propaganda about Ukrainian Biolabs and asking Ukraine to do the "right thing" and surrender https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu5QBr2k6FU ...and remember when Elon deliberately turned off Starlink from the Ukrainians on their own land that they lost to the Russians? Why would Elon risk his government contracts and associations so brazenly, putting the Ukrainians in harms way, as if he owed Russia anything or that Russia is not the Transgressor here? And why are Elon and Trump suddenly buddies when they were practically enemies before?
Also Fox News mirrors Russian News in how they deliver propaganda and some time after around 2022 at the peak of their Dominion court problems, they seemed full in on propagating the same opinions that the Russians had on things. Why was I hearing that Zelensky was a Nazi or bad man as if that matters when they were invaded? Why were conservatives saying we shouldn't be involved in the war and our money sent should be spent on Americans? Why was I hearing that Ukrainians had Nazis and Russia had a moral obligation to take Ukraine or that Nato shouldn't have transgressed into Ukraine? These were ALL Russian propaganda points. Why wasn't US conservative media more critical?
It's more than odd. Now I remembered reading about how KGB destabilize nations and decided to do the deep dive and listen to this
FULL INTERVIEW with Yuri Bezmenov: The Four Stages of Ideological Subversion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yErKTVdETpw
The first 45 minutes he talks about how they recruit people, how they treated the media, and how the brainwashing works. It starts with "destabilizing" and with progressives. They feed their ego. You'll get invited to talk with party members because of how "intelligent" and "open" you are and the Russians hope to fill their heads with Marxist ideas that they will then use to destabilize your country. However, they see progressives as useful only in this regard, saying they become dangerous enemies once they realize what they Russians are doing to them, which is why they are also the first to be killed...
No. They served purpose only at this stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in United States. All these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders, they are instrumental in the process of the subversion only to destabilize the nation. When the job is completed, they are not needed anymore. They know too much. Some of them, when they get disillusioned, when they see that Marxist–Leninists come to power, obviously they get offended. They think that they will come to power. That will never happen. Of course, they will be lined up against the wall and shot. But they may turn into the most bitter enemies of Marxist–Leninists when they come to power. And that’s what happened in Nicaragua. You remember most of these former Marxist–Leninists were either put to prison or one of them split and now he is working against the Sandinistas. It happened then in the Granada when Maurice Bishop was — he was already a Marxist — he was executed by a new Marxist who was more Marxist than this Marxist. Same happened in Afghanistan when first there was Taraki, he was killed by Amin; then Amin was killed by Babrak Kamahl with the help of KGB. Same happening in Bangladesh when Mujibur Rahman, very pro-Soviet leftist, was assassinated by his own Marxist–Leninist military comrades. It’s the same pattern everywhere. The moment they serve their purpose, all the useful idiots are either executed entirely — all the idealistically-minded Marxists — or were exiled or put in prisons like in Cuba. Many, many former Marxists are in Cuba, I mean in prison. So most of the Indians who were cooperating with the Soviets, especially with our Department of Information of the USSR embassy, were listed for execution. And when I discovered that fact, of course, I was sick.
This is how our Left typically plays out in the ensuing culture wars! Now that was the progressive part. At around 45 to 50 minutes, he starts to talk about the conversative component and the hair on body now literally stood up. He saysFuck. That's an exact profile Elon Musk and Donald Trump...now all those odd happenings aren't so odd anymore. Putin must mock Trump to deflect that he has anything to do with him. This goes back to my Mafia days, where if you wanted to play a good scum game, you had get away with this at some point, without raising too much suspicion that what you are doing is too obvious. Elon Musk on the other hand as the third scum, just has to say nothing and play along, stoking fires as he sees fit. But the bigger question, do they realize they are KGB assets? They may be so egocentric, they believe they are playing the Russians by playing into their game...or perhaps they don't care if they get what they want anyway because they lack morals anyway...I would imagine they do realize what's going on here because Donald Trump has a long history with Russia and Elon's sudden shift into the Alt-Right is odd for a supposed "intellectual". Perhaps he was going that way though and Russia contacted and then he went full Joker. I guess there's no way to know for sure, but there is a connection. But the frustrating thing seems to be the obvious link with Fox News mirroring Russian Propaganda news tactics and strategy. Is Fox also heavily influenced by Russia? Remember Tucker Carlson going to Russia and creating propaganda for them? He fell directly into this Russian propaganda. It's all too odd to write off as nothing.
Because they know too much. Simply because, you see, the useful idiots — the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of Soviet socialist or communist or whatever system — when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: “Never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher.” This was my instruction. Try to get into large circulation, established conservative media, reach filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals, so-called academic circles. Cynical, egocentric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. These are the most recruitable people: people who lack moral principles, who are either too greedy or suffer from self-importance. They feel that they matter a lot. These are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit.
https://economictimes.indiatimes.com...7.cms?from=mdrShvets highlights the recruitment of individuals like Trump from their student days to rise to important positions. The book also delves into Trump's connection with Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier. Shvets also had ties to Alexander Litvinenko, who was assassinated in London in 2006.Now let's go further. What does this do to a country? What becomes of these conservatives and Liberals that are misled and taught to blindly fight against each other? I shit you not, he even predicted the cult of MAGA and the cult of the Left...
Shvets explains how Trump first appeared on the Russian radar in 1977 when he married his first wife, Ivana Zelnickova, a Czech model.
Three years later, Trump constructed his first major property development, the Grand Hyatt New York hotel, for which he purchased 200 television sets from Semyon Kislin, a Soviet émigré who co-owned Joy-Lud electronics.
Kislin was a spotter agent who spotted Trump as a prospective asset. Trump and Ivana made their first trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg in 1987, when Shvets claimed he was provided KGB talking lines and complimented by KGB operatives who suggested Trump enter politics.
though mind you, I think he is biased in talking about the Left or issues of equality as the problem. Those things aren't really problems in themselves, if they are done in a more conservative and normalized manner, which I agree, the Left seems to want to do in a radicalized manner...but he is talking about the Left as a "destabilizing" force and I believe that is how he is seeing the problem. MAGA seems to also fall under this same problem of radicalization and I would argue that Fox News, Elon's X, and Trump's rhetorics fall into this category as well. Just my caveat. I think Yuri Bezmenov is biased here in that he isn't aware of our current times or how this has evolved.I mean, wow. I can't look America the same anymore...everything feels so underhanded. How many people are actually aware of this and actually have their own "real" opinions and views on things? I don't think very many...
Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate, overt, and open. You can see it with your own eyes. All you have to do, all American mass media has to do, is to unplug their bananas from their ears, open up their eyes, and they can see it. There is no mystery, there is nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage intelligence gathering looks more romantic. It sells more deodorants through advertising, probably. That’s why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond-type of thrillers. But in reality, the main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all. According to my opinion, and the opinion of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15 percent of time, money and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85 percent is a slow process, which we call either ideological subversion or “active measures” — aktivnye meropriyatiya in the language of the KGB — or psychological warfare. What it basically means is, to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interests of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country. It’s a great brainwashing process which goes very slow, and it’s divided into four basic stages, the first one being demoralization. It takes from fifteen to twenty years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy. Exposed to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxism–Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism, American patriotism. The result, the result you can see. Most of the people who graduated in the ’60s, drop-outs or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their minds. Even if you expose them to authentic information, even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still cannot change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. In other words, these people — the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people you need another twenty or fifteen years to educate a new generation of patriotically-minded, common-sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of the United States society.
