Post Online tests are a joke

1)if someone filled out a lot of MBTI/Socionics tests before so they already have an idea which answer is most likely related to a specific cognitive function

2)some people cannot stay objective /or look at how they acted over the course of their entire life, they rather answer the questionaire depending how they act/think/feel for the past week or month or in the present. For instance: I decided midway in the test that being an infj would be cool too instead of being an intj - so you end up manipulating & messing up everything

3)people can missinterpret questions. I stumbled over a couple ones that could have different implications & left me confused

I share the opinion that personality tests are useful in order for you to reflect upon yourself and get a better picture of who you are. They may work for some people, but if you already did read into cognitive functions and are able to "decipher" the test points/questions, this makes online tests pretty much just a fun way to waste your time away.

Those first 2 points I agree with very hard, as I’ve noticed that if I take a test more than twice, I start to notice the trends in the questions and what cognitive function / IM each question might be referring to, so it becomes very easy to unconsciously answer the questions in a way that ensures you get or don’t get a certain result. Because of that, I can’t suggest taking personality tests one too many times, or else you will become adept at manipulating your results.

The aim to know test is perhaps the best Socionics test I’ve taken, and it has consistently typed me as SEI, but I will admit that there are certain questions on there I don’t understand at all, such as this one:

“It often happens that I begin to imagine some scary events even during the sunny day.”

Like, what does that mean?? I never know how to answer that one. I’m sure my doubtful answers on the questions I’ve misinterpreted are affecting my score, too…

When taking a test ask yourself what is it trying to measure

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

i dont think they are that bad. i scored LII ILI and IEI on the socionics one. ESTJ and ENTP scored those 2 respectively on the MBTI. i tried the CSJ and it gave me ENFJ and INFJ the other time

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't want to spoil the result actually. I hope that you folks can figure out what what type I am over time, while I am actively participating in discussions. So I want to provide as little information as possible regarding test results (even though I know screwed up the results).
