I can see that there is difference between them, but at this point I started to wonder how accurate this is, I mean if Enneagram, Instinctual stacking and sociotype can all be determined by visual typing , what is left for heredity?

You mean that the fact that those three (Enneagram, Instinctual Stacking, and sociotype) can be VI'ed, it takes away from the possibility that they could be inborn? Not necessarily IMO. One thing is not related to the other. If anything, what being Vi-able proves is that it is an actual overlay or structure existing on a person, regardless of where it came from (whether it was acquired during childhood, or it is genetic/inborn to the person).

I took another look, and this mosaic is pretty good. It's very subtle but the differences (and their accuracy to the real examples of this type) is pretty good, and believable. I take this as evidence that a person can actually turn out to be any enneagram type (the same person -- like in this mosaic). So like I said here, enneagram type probably is acquired and not inborn.

I was browsing the pictures in this thread, not knowing what they were about (I tend to read back-to-front) and came across two pictures which strongly reminded me of my ex-wife. They are labeled 5w6, which is exactly what I typed her when I first encountered descriptions of enneatypes.

OK, now that I believe:

1. There might be something to this, and
2. @Squirrel is a face genius,

I'll give my impressions of each face.

8w9 – critical, mentally vacant.
6w7 – untamed, potentially good public partner, not much warmth.
5w5 – pure logic, no emotion. My Fi-seeking will pass on this one.
2w3 – warm, but too soft.
6w5 – critical, demanding. No thanks.
8w7 – My own type. She looks like an alien.
7w6 – A wanderer. Not dependable.
5w6 – My ex-wife. Not making that mistake again. I must have been someone else then.
4w5 – Looks like my LII sister. Just a bit too self-involved and calculating.
9w8 – Looks intelligent. I could go for her.
7w8 – A wanderer and not a reliable partner.
4w3 – She’s in it for herself.
9w1 – A great beauty. Intelligent, moral.
1w9 – Too remote from my world for my taste.
2w1 – A pushover, where I want a Valkyrie.
3w2 – Someone to help my evil plots, but not someone I’d let into my personal space.
8w9 – She looks like me, looking back from the mirror, But There Can Be Only One.

And this is kind of revelatory for me. I've read lots of assertions that the best match for an e8 is an e2, but I've never felt that way. Possibly because I'm a LIE e8, rather than an SLE e8, but whatever. E2's do not appeal.

ESIs mostly come in e9, e6, and e4. I've always felt that e4s were too self-involved, and my reaction to the above faces aligns with that.

I've also only wanted to date ESI e6's. I like their general feeling, which is that of a loyal skeptic. I need the skeptic part to keep my inner Genghis Khan in line, and I like the "loyal" part. Plus, e6's tend to be OK with sexual domination, which I've been told by previous lovers that I do without even thinking about it. Hey, domination isn't one of my fantasies; quite the opposite, but maybe that's because I live it. I don't know. No spanking, no being tied up, but rather just straightforward assertive aggression.

I've never wanted to date ESI e9's. All of the e9s I've seen are fucking terminally passive-aggressive, which is something that I do not tolerate well. I much prefer the open push-back and aggression of the e6, especially the e6w7, but I can't seem to establish a long term, intimate relationship with an e6. Long term, yes. Intimate, no.

However, maybe I've just been encountering unhealthy ESI e9's, along with Dismissive-Avoidant e6's. I am over 30, and all the people who can be in a healthy, secure relationship are gone from the dating pool at this point.

Certainly, if the pictures are accurate, both of those e9s would be the ones in the crowd that I would approach.
