This is an experiment to explore the effectiveness of a Socionics test (in this case, a Gulenko one) at determining Socionics types. In addition, the degree of correlation with Big Five personality traits is also going to be examined.

This won't actually give you a result, but if you contact me at the16types.info and tell me your alias (entered on the form) I could produce that.

It should take you about five to ten minutes to complete.

I think Gulenko states that his test won't usually work.

He says that if you make other people type you in team then you could probably by averaging get the DCNH subtype correct (temperament).

I suspect it could easily be improved by removing about half of the questions that aren't very good.

I think his stance is that only Ti egos can be trusted and other types tend to pick socially accepted choices.

Yeah I kinda never had difficulties figuring out my type with tests because I really just view myself in a very impersonal way, as if I was judging myself from the outside. Never got feeling or ethical as dichotomy for example even before I really knew what that means. The only dichotomy that changed was rationality/irrationality so I sometimes got ILI or INTJ as a result.

Other functions just can have a lot of influence so having a rigid test doesn't really feel all that accurate. Types with Te or Ti as activating function will think they are logical types, logical women who are more emotional on average think they are ethical types and so on. It seems almost impossible to cover the entire human population with a single test and wrong results just do a lot of harm imo because a lot of people have low Ne so they will never aknowledge that they could be mistyped

I have chose my type based external standards what others perceived and expected. Intuition (no dissonance), logic (expectations were met but with dissonance - so it was OK), extroversion (ON/OFF based on mood but there is a better place which is ON) , irrationality (not a huge deal, some dissonance but quadra alignment was merry).
