Default ILI Mother - IEI Daughter - Kindred Interaction

I (ILI) made a KETO microwave bread, cut it into sticks and made French Toast Sticks. I let my daughter (IEI) have some.

IEI: "Good, but doesn't have much flavor"

ILI: "Well, the bread is plain, but because it's KETO bread, it doesn't absorb as much of the egg batter. Once it's fried, is not as good per se .

IEI: It's not that, I mean it's, it's the way I see it, embued with color just not good ... I didn't want your logic about it...

ILI: LOL of course not, but that's the way it is I'm logic and you are ethics!

    IEI: conceding slightly, slides away.

So it was food and good, but not good. OK

    Logic vs. Ethics
    Nobody wins.

    @crazymaisy, this sounds more like a low-dimensional Se/Si problem.

Do some research, find a nice Alpha restaurant that sells breakfast, give her $15 and point her in that direction. Tell her to come home with a recipe.

I can't cook to save my life, so I use the talents that I have to work around the problem. Basically, I eat out a lot.

i dont think being good at cooking is related to se/si
in mbti it was a thing that IxTP are the best at cooking
she said she didnt want ur logic bc she maybe didnt care about waht happenned that caused it to not have flavor but its still good enough to be called good even if it doesnt have flavor

Never heard of Keto bread, but I guess one way that you could improve the french toast flavor is that you could add some artificial sweetener and cinnamon to the egg mixture. Also, there are sugar free syrups that are passable.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

So the KETO stuff I make is always a little different, but I keep making stuff and letting my family have it and then one or more complains about whatever with it.

I can cook but don't like cooking all the time and it's hard coming up with ways to fill oneself when needing to cut out processed foods and carbs and sugar, and are used to making a huge amount of stuff for meals but only need it for one.

(I know I should just cook this junk for myself and let them all fend for themselves all the time.)

    The French Toast Sticks:

They weren't that bad, the recipe just needs tweaking a bit. But she'll never eat it again.

We hardly ever have bread in the house anymore, so she hasn't tried to make regular french toast, but can. She could make bread too. So could I. Since I can't eat it, I don't want to make it. I'm very selfish like that. I mean who makes stuff for others in the house, when they shouldn't or don't eat it at all. Not me.

My SEE hubby loves green bean casserole and I couldn't stand it anymore at some point, and so my IEI daughter makes it since I refuse to make it. LOL

SEE hubby can't really cook, he should make it though. No! If he was able to do that, he'd be spending all his money on the ingredients to have it every day (instead of something else.) Maybe a worthy exercise. He might get sick of it too. Hmmm...

I had cinnamon and allulose and vanilla and a pinch of sea salt and in the egg mixture.

I make my own sugar free syrup with allulose and maple flavoring and water. It's actually quite good.

KETO bread in this case is almond flour, egg, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, butter, and sea salt. Mix, smooth into a microwavable dish and zap until firm. Simple enough to make, and a very nice texture.

Question: do you ILI mom get after your IEI to clean up in her surroundings? And do you constantly bring up other people to compare your IEI to them? Lol

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I bring up socionics personality sometimes, she doesn't like personality typing but sure uses my L and her F in a duel like that.

No I don't get after her. If she wants it cleaner she'll do it. Her room isn't messy really, lots of places to put things. I made sure she had drawers and towers and 2 desk surfaces.
