I know a lot of people may not buy into the physical descriptions matching socionic types. I am asking this because I am questioning my type, but I have met a lot of people who look like me and act like me. I am in the medical field and there are many doctors with this type. The main identifiable features are the elongated face and fingers, large eyes, and even the hairline. I look VERY similar to the guy in this picture but much younger. Almost everyone I met who looks like this is tall (over 6 foot) and skinny. Tidy and care about their physical appearance. I have seen some (like myself) who have go to the gym regularly to add muscle to their skinny frame. They come off as very in their heads and thinking and very polite in conversation, sometimes very scattered. I have always thought I was an ILI, but this is making me reconsider because a lot of descriptions describe ILI as heavyset.

But I agree with you in saying that certain sociotypes look alike, and the same characteristics which forge their faces also carry them into similar fields of work.

I’d say that many doctors are LIE. The clueless arrogance of some doctors just meshes well with the LIE personality.

These guys aren’t discovered new laws of science, like the Ti-driven LIIs. Instead, they are flying by the seat of their pants, guessing their way into a probable and profitable future. LIE (and ILI) all the way.

You know who doctors are most psychologically similar to, according to studies done by the University of Michigan?

They are most similar to farmers who own vast tracts of land.

Both types are usually multi-millionaires whose wealth is ensured by government programs.

I definitely agree. Learning a ridiculous amount of information in medical school and residency and then getting to apply it as your job for a large amount of money is very Te - esque.

Yes. All Te-facts, no Ti-principles.

Even though I’m an LIE myself, I see a lot of bad in the sociotype, ESPECIALLY in unhealthy LIEs.

One saving grace is that, even though LIEs are responsible for the Finance industry, they are also responsible for the AMA.

Before the AMA, anyone could be a doctor. Hell, even barbers could be doctors. It wasn’t a very profitable profession. The AMA changed that. By forming a powerful union, it restricted the number of practitioners and thus raised wages. It further arranged for the health insurance industry to pay for procedures and never let the patient know just how much the services were costing them, and everyone else who pays for medical insurance. It was brilliant, actually.

But the AMA is a Union, and it is my hope that LIEs, having benefited so much themselves from a Union, will display a little self-awareness and will support Union membership for other people.

I have a relative who’s a doctor and he’s probably an SEI. Im guessing he picked the profession for the prestige unlike LIEs. Te types go for energy related fields nowadays.

Fe types are more likely to be affected by prestige imo. The type that will change their attitude when they get into a high position.
