maybe. i want to say that but. his brashness towards china on the sovreignty issue makes me second guess. he is cool nevertheless

a bit of background on mr. president....

i'm not sure how much he wants independence for taiwan but he's been using this as a distraction for his problems for several years. for all i know, this guy has lost all his credibility and taiwanese have been striking for months to have him step down but he won't.



btw, his son-in-law and his wife have been charged for corruption. he isn't charged (for now) because he's the president and he insists that he's innocent. his explanation for the money in question: it's spent on confidential diplomatic issues which cannot be made public.
