    Maybe phlegmatic = H

    Gulenko's H: apathy

Gulenko's subtle hint for all the H in the subtype description of the type: Hey you, get a real job.
Sicuramente cercherai il significato di questo.

    https://fivetemperaments.weebly.com/phlegmatic.html

To the observer, the Phlegmatic is extremely slow-paced and stubborn.
The Phlegmatic goes through life doing as little as possible, quietly, and expending little energy. It is not clear whether the Phlegmatic has very little energy, or it is because they refuse to use what little energy they do have.

They are task oriented with a great capacity for work that requires precision and accuracy and expends a minimal amount of energy. Only sleep can regenerate a Phlegmatic.

The world may never know all the brilliant thoughts, great books, spectacular works of art, or wonderful ministries that have been buried with the Phlegmatic. They seldom, if ever, use these ideas and talents because it would require expending to much energy and effort, to put these ideas into action.

The Phlegmatic sits back and watches other temperaments busy doing things wrongly and looking at all the things in the world that need to be changed. Identifying the injustice is not difficult for the Phlegmatic in Inclusion; however, they will seldom, if ever, initiate action against injustice.
They will try to inspire others to do something, but are not likely to personally get involved themselves.

The Phlegmatic is the only temperament the Choleric is unable to control (which frustrates the Choleric tremendously). The Phlegmatic is the most stable temperament. The Phlegmatic is the most stubborn of all the temperaments when it comes to making changes. Because of their tendency to uninvolvement, they are natural negotiators and diplomats. “Peace at all costs” is their motto.

The Phlegmatic has no fear of rejection and can handle unaffectionate and hostile people. They are calm, easygoing people who are not plagued with the emotional outbursts, exaggerated feelings, anger, bitterness or unforgiveness as are other temperaments. They are observers who do not get involved nor expend much energy. Their cool, complacent attitude can hurt people that love them. The way they observe can cause them to never to give of themselves and, therefore, never receive either.
I think this is quite N.

    Let's think about this
“Peace at all costs” is their motto.
    I think it hints:
    To the slammer he|she goes!
    MOTTO: NEVER TRUST IN REALITY
    Winning is for losers

Melancholic isn't Water, neither does Phlegmatic is Earth - they are reverted.
    Arthur Schopenhauer (ILI-Ni):

    • “A man can be himself only so long as he is alone; and if he does not love solitude, he will not love freedom; for it is only when he is alone that he is really free.”

    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (ILI-Te):

    • "The history of the world is none other than the progress of the consciousness of freedom."

I found this just now on wikipedia:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_temperaments

Classical Element Adler[16] Riemann[17] DISC[18] (Different publishers use different names)
    Melancholic Earth Avoiding Depressed Conscientiousness/Cautious
    Phlegmatic Water Leaning Schizoid Steadiness/Supportive
Sanguine Air Socially Useful Hysterical Influence/Inspiring
    Choleric Fire Ruling Obsessive Dominance

The melancholic would actually be the N-subtype (not harmonizing as suggested in this thread), phlegmatic H-subtype, sanguine C-subtype and choleric D-subtype.

    And then there's also this DISC model mentioned above ... So, I guess basically DCNH is just a refashioning of older models and then adapted to socionics? D = D-sub, I = C-sub, S = H-sub, C = N-Sub

Well, I think that DISC maps rather poorly across all DCNH types. The reason is that DISC itself is rather N dominated (the environment implies it) followed by D. It just is restricted in its application. It works better in sociotype (logic vs ethics etc)dichotomies.
DCNH is closer to social hierarchy and here DISC is oblivious (primitive alpha vs beta).

Like H type would be someone who barely gets a job is kicked out by a competition and appears again somewhere else.

C just goes where he/she likes.

Dunno about that. "Phlematic" sounds like Earth and IJ and "Melancholic" sounds like water and IP. It might be incorrect since whoever came up with it.

The three doshas from ayurveda also seem to describe DCNH types.

    Vata: C-sub
    Pitta: D-sub
    Kapha: H-sub > N-sub ?
Maybe they forgot one of the types or merged them together in the last category, since there are only three doshas. But I don't know the entire system behind it, maybe it's more complex and the doshas are just one aspect of it and there are other categories as well not mentioned in these short articles on ayurveda.

Somewhat accurate, except that Melancholic relates Earth more than Water according to the classical temperaments.
And the other thing to notice is that, Melancholic by classic temperament really works for Normalizing very well:
He rarely drank, he was not rude.
Such luck, girls, only happens once.
One thing was perplexing: he would brush his teeth
And then he never closed the tube.
Well, I didn’t pay attention to this at first.
This man was sent to me from heaven.
And like a woman I forgave him.
Everything, even the tube, damn it.
And he, while drawing, went into nirvana:
Then suddenly he hugs me - I love you, he says, and that’s the end!
Then suddenly, the mischevious man, he drags me into the bath,
And there… lies the open tube of toothpaste!
And I, like a fool, washed his socks.
And put boullion cube into the soup
And all I have asked for, all I pleaded for, was:
“When you’ve brushed your teeth - close the freaking tube!”
And he, the bastard, retorts as if on purpose:
“”All this, Glasha,” he says, “is unimportant.”
Tell me, girls, is it possible
To love and shit at the same time?
From resentment I went to the neighbor.
    Since the neighbor has dentures,
And on the shelf a tube of “Blendamedu”
    Lies closed. How wonderful!
    [Viktor Tretyakov. “Tube.”]

    • “A man can be himself only so long as he is alone; and if he does not love solitude, he will not love freedom; for it is only when he is alone that he is really free.”
