Ukraine bans largest opposition party - World Socialist Web Site (wsws.org)
Clearly, the Azovs aren't Nazis and are the good guys!
So, about those Russian sanctions..... surely, Europe and the West can afford to maintain them in perpetuity. Is that a safe assumption, as I keep hearing in the media, or is the West merely engineering its own and others' misery?
There is, it's worth noting, one European country that's especially dependent on Russian trade: Ukraine, whose third-largest trading partner is Russia.
I am genuinely convinced the West just hates the East because it ain't the East at this point. The West was living in mud huts when the East had great civilizations and then it was burning people for doing math while arguing about the proper way to flagellate yourself when the Jews and Muslims were just doing the math and not flogging themselves. Most of the Vikings who everyone loved became the Russians, and most of the Moors went back to North Africa, and Jews are generally not considered Western any more either, so the West has gerrymandered anyone not named Plato or Aristotle or Newton out of itself (not to downplay their accomplishments, it's just very few people compared to everything that's been removed by redefining things.) Now that the West no longer has any achievements to speak of due to its gerrymandering all the Jews, Muslims, and Vikings out of it, all it can do is attempt to export freedom and "force you to be free." Oh, you want to wear a modest Victorian bathing suit? Too bad, that's equivalent to wearing a burka and you aren't free enough, "lie beside me, baby, that's an order."
Luckily, that will take care of itself in very little time.
Yes, even a rabidly racist father who advocated for the deaths of thousands should be allowed to grieve in peace for his rabidly racist daughter who advocated for the deaths of thousands.
An ESE once told me that the reason that political assassination isn't acceptable is because if it were, then they could do it to you, too. I guess not everyone got the message.
@Poptart, I saw the video that you referenced. I thought it was strange that someone happened to be sitting in his car RIGHT THERE at the moment of the explosion and was recording the scene instead of helping.
There are now people who are saying that Dugina was the target, and her father knew about it beforehand, which is why he switched cars at the last moment. I'm not so sure about that, but I do think that Putin is responsible.
Here's what Thomas C. Theiner thinks:

putin wants to escalate his war against Ukraine; but he can't blow up apartment buildings in russia - he did that already. And he can't murder opposition politicians in front of the kremlin - he did that already too. So he has Dugina whacked, because she is a minor celebrity,
but she and her dad aren't Kremlin insiders. Can't whack the child of a Kremlin insider... that might lead to trouble for putin's rule - maybe even lead to a coup. So whack a blonde, young looking woman - make a spectacle of her funeral, then declare Ukraine a "State Sponsor
of Terrorism". It is all so obvious. No one in the russian government, military, or intelligence services is bright... but like all dumb people in power they have an unshakable belief that they are smarter than everyone.
And here's what Darth Putin thinks:
Darth Putin @DarthPutinKGB
Nemstov: Shot outside the Kremlin by "foreign agents" who disabled CCTV then escaped.
Navalny: Poisoned in Siberia with Novichok by "foreign agents" who then escaped.
Dugina: Blown up by Ukrainians who also disabled CCTV. For 2 weeks who then escaped.
All my trolls are morons.

Putin wants to bring YOU their world.
Pink Floyd star Roger Waters added to Ukrainian hit list
The offending interview: https://youtu.be/iZsRj3_iDfM
I don't know much about Roger Waters myself, and I find it hard to put any real blame on Ukraine for them being attacked, but I do agree with the perspective that you can't always be sure that the news is going to give you 100% of the truth. Regardless of whatever is really happening in Ukraine or Russia, it's very true that the US, and the Western world at large (my country included) do 'benefit' from anything that puts Russia, China, etc. in a negative light.
I don't think that there are outright lies about what we hear regarding the conflict and the history behind what's going on, but I o think there's at least *some* stuff that the West is being kept in the dark about.
As much as I feel for the people in Ukraine, I find Zelensky is testing my beliefs each time he opens his mouth.
The United States is a very bad country, which does a lot of very bad things.
However, all the other countries are so much worse. Some are much, much worse.
People who doubt that fact should try living in their ideal paradise for a while. But I recommend that they buy a round trip ticket, in case their complaints get transferred to wherever they happen to live at the moment.

The British economy in particular is geared up to make major changes to respond to differing economic pressures, just as long as the pressures aren't too great. I think a few other western economies are capable of this too. It will take a few years for Europe to sort out it's energy problem, but I'm confident it will.

Haha "People's Rear"Investigators say that the hitlist, which was created in 2014, is supervised by the public organization “Mirotvorets Center,” which is headed by Roman Zaitsev, a former employee of Ukrainian special services, and by the public organization, “People’s Rear,” headed by George Tuka, a Ukrainian statesman and public figure.
So this blog post says that the Ukraine government maintains its hit list on a public website. When a target of the hit list is killed, Ukraine updates it’s list, and the word “LIQUIDATED” appears in bright red letters and slashes across the target’s picture. The homepage lists an address in Langley, VA (close to the US capital), and there are edits by accounts with names like “CIA” and “FBI”. The blogger cites the “Russian Foundation to Battle Injustice” as its source for the post.
I’m skeptical.
Skeptical of what -- that the website is run by Ukrainians, like it's some secret Russian ploy to portray Ukrainians as deranged? That website is very publicly run by a right-wing Ukrainian. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrotvorets
Given the kind of material that site contains, if it's a Russian propaganda tool it's some serious 4D chess.
Skeptical of the blog post you linked—“Roger Waters Added to Ukrainian Hitlist”. This isn’t 4d chess. Run-of-the-mill propaganda has a thread of truth tangled up in lies. Myrotvorets is a screening tool used at Ukraine’s border to prevent individuals working on behalf of the Kremlin from entering Ukraine. I would be surprised if US intelligence agencies edited this site with account names like “FBI” and “CIA”.
Why so much attention to Roger Waters now, when he’s been in Myrotvorets since 2018? Because Russia is trying to draw attention to the fact that Darya Dugina’s name is on that list and push the narrative that she was assassinated by Ukrainian terrorist nazis. Russia claims that a Ukrainian woman snuck into Russia and stalked Dugina for a month before planting a bomb in Dugina’s car. (This doesn’t even make sense considering Dugina’s father says they switched cars!)
Personally I think the “liquidated” part is crude and offensive, and yeah gratuitous disrespect is never a good look.
Roger Waters was blacklisted for saying that Russia has rights to Crimea:
“Geopolitics politics has never been a strong point, but I know that Sevastopol is very important for Russia and Russians. There are many contracts and papers, according to which Russia has all the rights to this city.”
The Russian politician serving as governor of Sevastopol at the time invited Roger Waters to play a concert in Crimea. Ukraine probably doesn’t want rock stars entering the country to promote Putin’s propaganda.
Meanwhile, Kremlin-controlled Russian state television is featuring clips from Fox News' Tucker Carlson.

All the Authoritarian bootlickers recognize each other.
Ex Russian mayor arrested for criticizing Russia’s war in Ukraine. Russian courts fined him three times this year for not referring to the invasion as a “special military operation”. He faces five years in prison.

If there is a proximate Russian angle here, I suppose that it's worth considering the recent Iranian drone sale to Russia. But I'm just some random dude on the internet, don't have access to the latest information, and can't really speculate authoritatively about the subject.
I mean that's exactly what I think about this. This seems like winding up to "WWIII" but the first "two" world wars were just Zionism Part One and Zionism Part Two anyways. That is not even a particularly controversial take, and by Zionism I definitely mean Zionism and not "the Jews" considering the number of prominent Jews who oppose this (e.g. Noam Chomsky and Hannah Arendt.) I really hope my words don't get twisted but it'll probably be inevitable.
I was just going to say that Iran just sold Russia a boatload of drones, after swearing that they wouldn't do that. Russia has proven itself to be hopelessly outclassed when it comes to conventional warfare against a modern state, so this seems like a good time to kick Russia's ass out of Syria. All they are doing is murdering people there.
Afghanistan is over, but the USA can't go too long without a hot war. It's precisely how the US military keeps it's edge. Practice, practice, practice.
Syria could also be warming up exercises for the US military in that area, in case Russia needs a reminder as to why they shouldn't use nuclear weapons in Ukraine as their war of aggression becomes more and more hopeless for them.
The US is giving Ukraine a lot of weapons, but none of them are useful in recovering territory. It's almost as if the US just wants to halt Russian aggression, but not let Ukraine level Moscow or St. Petersburg, which is what I would want to do if I were in their shoes.
The US seems to be trying to avoid forcing Russia to use nuclear weapons, but that doesn't mean that the US wants a Russia which is capable of crossing a street, to say nothing of its neighbor's borders. There may be other ways to degrade the present Russian mafia's political power.
One result of getting the Russian mercenaries and the Wagnerites out of Syria, assuming that they aren't exterminated on the way out, would be to return a lot of heavily armed, experienced soldiers to Russia proper. Soldiers who are armed and who just suffered a humiliating defeat because Putin and his cronies were incompetent at running a government and a war.
Wouldn't that be nice?

This in particular is completely about Zionism. Ukraine attacked Russia to try to stop Russia from ingressing further into Syria against Israel.

War is just an extension of politics.
The US military is the best in the world at breaking things on all levels. The problem is that the politicians don’t understand that breaking things is not to go-to position.
Many US politicians are like my mother, for whom every solution to her not immediately getting what she wanted was either gaslighting or a punch in the face.
I watch that video series you posted in the spring, the one where the young Russian guy interviews regular Russians in the streets? I found it intriguing and relieving. Normal attitudes about how bad the special operation and how lowly people think of Putin. They would never say it though. Most just want peace.
Ofc it's all a gradient and it depends on who you ask and the location you ask them in. The cities will have open liberal views.
But don't ever mention war in Ukraine. It's a special operation only.
This shows just how fragile are Putin's decisions amoungbthe population.
