    The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

    The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

    I don't much care for the taste of meat in general, but I like goat, and poultry (chicken, duck, and turkey I've eaten) is OK. I dislike "meaty" fish like salmon and tuna, but I do like catfish, and I've liked what I've experienced of more "fishy" fish (trout and yellowtail); I also like eel and octopus/squid, especially fried.

    My least favorite meat is pork. It leaves a sour, unpleasant aftertaste in the mouth. I'n surprised people enjoy it so much.

    Medium-Rare Victoria's Filet with garlic butter from Outback Steakhouse. Anything cooked more than medium-rare sucks. After that any good kind of greasy non-microwaved, non-crispy bacon.

    cut brisket is really good and so is slow-simmered pork. I don't know what the actual name of the pork is.

    but I've always been a chicken over red meat guy in everyday life.

    Other kind of meat- usually I like chicken the best over-all or fish. I don't like red meat unless it's cooked right- and it always seems like it's easier for ppl to fuck up the tenderness compared to chicken. It's like making chicken- yeah you can overcook it and dry it out and it can be blah but it feels like there are more subtle/nuanced stages when cooking red meat and more smaller and insidious ways that you can mess it up or something. I also don't like hamburgers drenched in onions. Some is fine but a lot of ppl go way too overboard on that.
