    Default Delta hipster song

This song is kinda Fe in a superficial way (in that it's upbeat and merry dur dur) but like the actual core of the song - everybody is like this IEE/SLI/EII hipster to me: (Does anybody else see this or is it just me? lol) And I think we talked about this song being Delta before a decade ago - like it's deja vu but I'm not completely certain lol.

Its like hihihaha im quirky Ne with those instruments and the whistling and Fi with the moralizing, but honestly this song annoys me. Perhaps IEE like this better.

This song ia stuck in my head now. Thanks.

That said, the song feels really lightweight like most hipster songs do. Catchy? Yes. Aesthetic? Sure. Can you vibe with it? *snort*

LOL @ everyone playing it off they don't actually like the song. Stay true delta hipsters.

Can we refurbish this to a thread about what constitutes delta hipster music?

What do you all think of this music?

What is the Delta Hipster Music aesthetic?

Basically all genres and eras, as long as there is melody involved and one can hear that "they" really tried to perfect their songs. Cant stand current rap tho

So by replying to my question you admit to being a delta hipster?

Since you answered my question I'll say that I am the same way, I listen to everything. I mostly listen to electronic type tracks with no lyrics. I'm not delta though.

The bolded part of the quote is interesting, do you like a song better if it sounds like they put a lot of effort into it? How can you tell?

I do, music thats played on the radio these days often (not always) sounds cheap, unengaging, commercial and disposable. Therefore I prefer other music where people tried to be more original (hipster yuh) and perfectionist of their composition. I cant explain to you how I can tell, I just see it

I tried getting into hipster music and some of it sounds decent in an aesthetic way, but it's not my aesthetic for the most part. However, I do like how the hipster era kind of brought back film photography. So if there's anything, there's that.

Lately I have been more into soul, funk, reggae, and afro jazz and anything that has a more organic sound but that has a lot of subtle stuff going on. My favorite bands to listen to lately are Stick Figure and Orgone, for example. Both come off as Si-centric.

I haven't heard of him but I checked him out and yeah that's the kind of thing I can listen too. I just used electronic music as a very broad term to define anything from lofi beats I find on youtube to synthpop and everything in between.

I like tame impala I don't think he's delta though.
