People who enjoy sharing pictures of themselves on social media

I just recently accepted that I don't see the point neither enjoy sharing pics of myself in social media (I've never shared a Lot of pics but I just accepted that I don't see the point and I don't get any reward from it).

However, I know a Lot of ppl who does it and I don't unserstand why. So, what are the reasons behind it (besides keeping informed/updated close friends and family)? Is it type related (socionics/ instincts)?

It seems to be related to extroversion and agreeableness, but also narcissism.

The need for human attention. It's normal but I think when it gets out of balance - that's when it can get narcissistic.

The advantage of social media is it's instant + you have access to millions of people around the world
