What the LSI ik has told me:

"You're like an alien who knows how to talk to humans, while I am like a human who knows how to talk to aliens"

"What I like a lot about talking with you is that I feel genuinely heard"

"You make me explore new stuff when it comes to these topics" (sociology, economics, art, yknow this kinda stuff)

"I find it interesting how you conclude a lot and go back to a point you mentioned previously"

"I think I can speak with liberty and fearlessness when talking with you"

"I do note about you that need to stand out from the group and be able to provide advice to others"

"How can you speak publicly so easily?"

Every time I point out something about his argument or the drawing he did (he does abstract art): "...I can actually see that"
Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Bvd?

"Yeah.. you're not convincing me. We're doing it."
That caught me off guard, in a positive way, and he was really just stating the obvious.

I find as amusing to see how base Fi communicate with people.

    > I don't personally feel like I have any special "depth" per se

in strong functions from the perception of ones having them as weak - you should be
when that is also valued - it's more interesting

    P.S.
LSE are not your duals. other ones may have mistakes in types too

Just realized I posted this in the wrong thread. Se PoLR strikes again.

    anyway

Things my LSE ex said to me:

”You have a great voice - you should sing more”

(After I embarrassed myself during a performance) “*whispers* you did great”

    ”oh gracious, you scared me”

*showing him videos of puppies* “How cute!”

“no, I don’t want pictures taken of me”

SLEs: "You need to get a job."
    (some time later)
me: "I got a job!" (talks about it briefly)
SLE: "Hmm. You need to get a better one..."

SLEs: "Ugh I'm so mad at you right now..."

    Me: You just stabbed a person/robbed a bank/etc.
SLEs: Yeah but I'd never do those things to you...
(I don't really believe this but go 'aww' anyway)

SLE toys r us dual after following me around in store: "Hey can you help me with something? I need to find the right toy for my grandson and you look like you know about this stuff or something?"
Me: "I don't work here but okay I can help?"

SLE best friend dual: "I don't want to just sit here and talk. Let's DO something together!"

SLE gay dual: "People think I'm this huge asshole but I really just want to cuddle up with a guy and watch Disney Movies all day."
    Me: "God I love that..."

SLE gay dual: "I feel like a Warrior class in role-playing games, and like I'd be good as a movie action hero guy
Me: (I just stay stunned in silence cuz I agree so much lol)

Most SLEs I've known: "I really like you.." (says this cutely and insecurely and vulnerable and awkward human. As if to say 'you have my heart so don't hurt me.' So precious and cute fi polr is, wow...)

LSE/LIE str8 man when they explain something logical to me: blah blah blah
    Me: -5234 HP

SLE str8 man dual when they explain something logical to me: blah blah blah
Me: Oh, okay. I get it now, thanks.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Haha being a nerd is so sketched into a pyramid of alien volts on a Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich of juggling acts and a barn yard of steps and maneuvers to the moon of size and blossom.

    He/She likes DragonBallZ - that's nerdy.

I like Bruce Lee and The Dragon Mind of Zen with power and storm discarding my old resistances and weaknesses for liberty beyond measure, enough to crush opposition.

Not necessarily. My son like all that and he's not a nerd. But what's the definition of nerd?

    (1) "I love you."
    (2) "You defended me"
    (3) "You made me smile even when I don't want to."
    (4) *Shy half-smile* or *cute giggle* whenever I am enthusiastic and energetic around her, whenever I compliment her, and even whenever I am imposing my will around my environment and tell people if they had the notes because I skip class in college.

After we broke off due to circumstances outside of my control or due to me being Fi PoLR, she posted about how I should suffer because I broke her heart but then post about that "the happiness that I brought when I came into her life is much bigger than the sadness."

This is pretty close to my own experience, especially the two bolded parts.

LSI hates being called robotic, but people say that about her. She said if she is a robot I am an alien.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".
