Your inner child is trying to tell you that you need to find a firm sense of safety in your life. You might be in an environment that feels threatening, have people in your life that are toxic, and/or be struggling with unresolved trauma that fills you with chronic anxiety. If every day feels, in some way, like a battle, you are operating from a constant place of fight or flight. Your nervous system might be on high alert all the time (dysregulated) and therefore needs to be soothed. Try finding ways of creating more safety in your life. What can be your safe space? How can you lessen your contact with people, places, and situations that feel too threatening and too much for you to handle?
