Friends are really important for me, but I had friends that made me feel worse, more anxious, and crazy then my currents ones and I feel a helluva lot more chill and happy with my current relationships. I don't know for you, but where I live it's considered very bad not having friends. I've had health professionals put in my head that I needed friends or I'd never get better. Not having friends puts you on the depressed list almost by default, so you're prompted to find anyone to be friends with and that's not cool.
