@chriscorey, You are smart and he is a Sensor. I suggest that you connect a 50,000 volt neon sign transformer to your toilet. One lead to the water in the bowl, and one lead to the wet floor. I guarantee that, if after he leaves the seat up and you flip the switch to turn it on, then later when he takes a piss, he'll be the one doing the yelling.

I learned that trick from my father, who said that when he was overseas and his military team were staying in some building with a metal roof and some drunk would come in late at night, climb to the second floor, piss on the roof and wake everyone up, that solved the problem.

Default Put them all down, please!

I care. It must be returned to a resting place after using. Seat down, Lid down. (Bonus: I don't need to see that the toilet needs a scrubbing while I'm putting away towels, etc.)

My hubby leaves everything up or the lid up every now and then. Early in our marriage a middle of the night AAAAAAAHHHHH! fixed that for the most part. He didn't have a reason or anything, just needed trained.

I prefer to let my cats drink from clean water placed especially for them.
