Repeated exposing oneself to emotional material of a certain kind is the definition of FJ+TP dichotomy. This seems more like a person who has been doing it for a long time and is craving surprises, release, something that will force him to leave behind this old shell. We'd be talking about STp or NFj. The grandiosity is clearly merry+subjective stuff. And if that leaves us the question of ESTp or ENFj, guess which I'd choose... I think we're seeing a nice description of 'I want to sacrifice myself to love' here.

In fact, what good is it to be myspace friends with people from my past who did nothing but hurt me and will not add anything positive to my future?

so i guess in the bigger picture, what significance does myspace hold? probably none. zilch. it's fun to find an old acquaintance from my past, but it's pointless. I've already come to terms with the fact that there are about 4 people in the city of Waterford who aren't in Madison that i care about ever seeing again. and i always thought i would be so curious about my 10 year reunion... i'm content with where i am now and with the significant place the people i choose to remain friends with have in my life.

I've recently ended two long-term friendships with people i've known since high school or earlier. I admit, it has been difficult - especially with the one who was previously one of my closet confidantes and who has an uncanny ability of popping back into my life at the least appropriate times. But I think i'm finally realizing exactly how important it is to rid my life of those toxic friendships. Both relationships were extremely one-sided, in which i was giving a lot of myself with little or nothing in return. The outcome was rarely worth the time and effort put in.
