ILE or ILI
People keep on typing me as either ILE 7 or ILI 5 and it's a never ending loop.
The reason why Ni vs Ne is a hard differentiation is because i am indeed single-minded, conclusive in thinking, in conversation tend to seek to explain things holistically, rather than a series of details.
I tend to use vague language, make generalizations , although i can be verbally fluent, it's usually in written form.
I do not act like a feeler, but i'd nonetheless be a very "soft" thinker, very emotionally open and dramatic, affectionate, but probably not in a Fe base or creative way.
There's some evidence of vulnerable Fi or otherwise Fi which indicates unvalued positioning. Such as having to ask people directly how they feel about me to assess the level of relationship, not considering feelings of another person as real unless they have been explicitly stated, very rarely keeping emotions in private, oftentimes demonstrative or dramatic with emotions. Disliking people that do not directly say what's on their mind, especially when it comes to emotions, dislike people that are "not empathetic" ( do not understand other people's perspectives easily and are "in their own world"), such as Fi base or creative type can be annoying but we usually have good chemistry at the beginning, but later on the lack of direct / assertive language becomes very annoying. I have grown to prefer Fe users with time.
When it comes to tact, it's easy for me to engage in smooth conversations with people, and if i have a "offensive" remark to say, i say in a way that's funny rather than offensive, and usually people let it slide. It's very easy for me to get people to open up, or to activate them energetically, as i know how to say the exact thing that is going to start either a heated discussion or just entertaining banter. Sometimes i can stir stuff up to the point where everyone starts arguing with each other. Or perhaps i can easily shift or manipulate the group towards the topic i want. People relatively rarely get offended about what i have to say. I can say things very bluntly but do so in a way that's rather amusing and somewhat charming. People tend to open to me easily about their personal problems. This has been the case for a long time. Even people with really hard shells, open up to me very very quickly, and sometimes they can even say they only do so with me and no one else.
But i'm not nitpicky with details and people like that annoy me a lot, and my style of discussion isn't necessarily pedantic, it's more about discussing ideas more broadly.
So it's all very contradictory. If i was an ILE , i would be a more focused, introverted, laid-back and enneagram 5'ish one, but i was an ILI i would be quite unusually emotionally open, expressive, engaging in pointless debates, drama, not keeping my thought privately, stirring stuff up for the kicks and etc. which is unusual if not impossible for ILI. So right now i'm just leaning on perhaps my Ne-Ti creating an illusion of Ni perhaps.
