Default Type most likely to become police officers?

I always figured the typical police officer is most likely an LSE. 4D Te + Se with low Fi & PoLR Ni would make sense to me.

    Thoughts?

& Although I've come across some nice officers, the usual persona of them is off-putting to me.

Rational sensing types are the ones that have natural inclination. ESE might be the least because while they are probably quite fast they also have huge doubts later on.

A representative from each quadra. At first thought that's neat, almost ideal?

Probably not evenly distributed, but J types and D/N subs in DCNH would be more likely to want to enforce order and rules on their surroundings, with S types more likely to pass the physical tests (where required). ESE cops are not rare in my experience, the male ones especially can use their role pretty visibily in society. And especially for the female ones, wanting to help others and be social is a big motivator.
Sensors would also be drawn to the adrenaline rushes involved and Se types to the power over people, but in the end it's a lot about following rules and enforcing them on others which isn't a favorite activity for irrationals.

All types join for different reasons and can be competent contributors; however, I would think that the better find-the-facts-detectives would be SLEs while SLIs would have a natural edge for the beat and SWAT. There is a police mien (like part of the uniform) that looks unnatural on many types.

I think LSI makes the most sense, considering beta values and being an SJ type. Also Ti-Se is about looking at a framework and applying to the environment with influence. Which I think makes it easy to see them as police officers.

Instead of being quadra related I really like Northstar's theory that it's mostly rational types doing it. Doesn't even seem like so much a theory to me, seems like a fact.

I mean the idea of me as a cop is the most laughable thing, really. lol I would feel so out of place in a uniform unless it was some gay porn star fantasy thing.

LSI-Se most common from my experiences. Some SLE-Ti and maybe some Gamma SFs. LSI-Ti would be less common due to higher anxiety and the fact that they're slower, have less foresight, and are less observant than the Se subtype.

Se and Ti are the functions needed in police work.

*MAYBE* Fe bases since they're street smart and if they're observant.

I had an EIE-Ni principal who claimed to be a detective or work in the police force, he probably was. He was bizarre and everyone except me thought he was gay, but he was quite domineering, more serious, more demanding, and less realistic than an EIE-Fe friend of mine and history teacher under him, he actually got angry with the EIE-Fe when he was trying to avoid enforcing rules on students... EIE-Ni, especially men, can really be dicks and losers. The EIE-Fe teacher was never thought of as gay, and he was more down to earth, more popular, he knew what to expect from people and what not and he didn't have to constantly change things like the EIE-Ni principal did; the history teacher's Se hidden agenda was apparent, I guess some people would mistake him for an SLE-Ti; the Ni subtype principal was nerdier and looked physically weaker. But both EIE men were street smart (they could fight; I couldn't fight, but I always knew to avoid and I could adequately read people well enough to know what to say to them and what not to say and knew when a fight was breaking out, which was common in my favorite city, the one i grew up in... I don't hate myself because I was still strong enough to have made it through the schools I did and all the psychwards I did without having to be transported to the emergency rooms), although the principal Ni subtype was more violent, seemed mad racist, and way less controlled though. I was really the only student in the schools who could tolerate him and thought he was articulate.
I'm sorry, but I'm psychologically disturbed.

    Superb cops: LIE-Ni, SLI-Te, SEE-Fi, EII-Fi
    Good cops: SEE-Se, SLE-Se, ESI-Se, LIE-Te, LSE-Si
    Average cops: LSI, ESE, ESI-Fi
