Default Occupation and Personality type inclination

Pantheon.world has a ranking of the 90,000 or so most memorable people who ever lived (the relative ranking is not especially important for this topic). They have categorised each person by their occupation of note.

I thought such a resource would be useful to find people who may well have similar personalities, and perhaps find individuals of types that are underrepresented when it comes to forum discussion. But of course it will probably also result in overly stereotyping.

Anyway, try to type the following occupations, with notes if you like. Use MBTI abbreviations if you wish, as I intend to. See which individuals are in each category to get a sense of what the category is about. "Companions" for example is basically the spouses of memorable people. "Inspiration" is similar to muse and is mostly an empty category and should probably be overlooked. You could try typing the meta-categories also.

This has a heavy bias against sensors.

    All Occupations - ENF

Sports - ES generally, for the physical ones. I imagine it's possible that ES types outnumber the IS types even in sports I visualise as being - in Big Five terms, Extroversion facets like "Activity Level", "Excitement Seeking", "Positive Emotions" may be significantly correlated, as well as the Conscientiousness facets like "Achievement Striving".

I'd say that Ip sounds like composing temperament. Like putting things together starting low. Structure is flawless, no bugs, it is well put together but lacks something new. I usually have very much opposite approach.

...Yup hidden insecurity. That’s why I both adore and act irrationally annoyed at them. I always tend to distill their vague work, then they will hit me with another new thing/activity they came up with. You’ll just be left to ask, “Where did that even come from?” while proceeding with the refining. I’m such a slow thinker compared to them too. And I mostly just observe them bounce around nonstop like a ball. Hopefully I’m useful to them even if it’s just sometimes.

This is biased against Ne-leads. I hope this is because we're jacks of all trades and not because we suck at everything we try and then give up and do something more fun.
I think ENTP and ENFP fulfill a wildcard role in many occupations. Ne is not meant to be used as a tool for 'mastery', but a tool for innovation. Combined with the typical Ne thing of having a million different interests, you get people who are good at everything but not remarkably good at anything. And thus the Ne leads remain in the shadows in a world where hyper-specialists get all the money and fame

Some interests outside the obvious sciency computery ones with high concentrations of ENTP: Trading/investing, poker (money + applied maths = jackpot for ILEs), freelancing, small business. Of course not everyone wearing a fancy suit and doing business is LIE. I'd say a good 30-40% of business people that get instantly typed as LIE are actually ILE or SLE. In fact, anything related to risk-taking is the realm of Se and Ne (acting quick, identifying potential opportunities), not Te. Just cause they're P types doesn't mean they don't have the grit to start a business and put a ton of hours into it. Small businesses are great for ILE because it allows them to use their Ne creativity to solve problems, gives them a wide variety of tasks and knowledge, etc.

    Tattooist, anyone?

To be specific for this example, I'm thinking about the application (formulating the idea/design optional) and seated for extended periods of time part.

    Stonemason , a process type(?)

Supposedly people with tattoos are more extroverted on average. Maybe that is true also of tattooists.

Architects are supposed to be especially prone to being ENTJ, but maybe this doesn't translate into physical occupations like stonemasonry. Possibly ST generally.

From socionics perspective intuitive types and architecture does not really go hand in hand at al. Quite the contrary. As such architects probably need to be pushier than than people in many other occupations about their design to that probably contributes to MBTI ENTJ label while it is totally contradicting from cognitive perspective.

I got the ENTJ approximation from the Big Five.

I might IEIs and SEIs to be inclined to be architects, because they might want to to create aesthetically pleasing buildings. And of course LIEs have poor .

But maybe in fact LIEs would like being architects, similar to how they might like being engineers.

Architecture is for someone who likes mighty, static and visible while having aesthetic taste and precision. LSI sounds excellent fit for it. I think many socionics sources mention architecture good career choice for LSI's. I think they have knack for it. It seems like they constantly scan the structures around them.

Can you provide a citation and what was said and why?

It seems you are more interested in who says something (Gulenko vs. not-Gulenko) than the actual content of what was said. Which is aristocratic behaviour.

You had to pay Gulenko to make him pay attention to you. It seems you are more interested in "emoting than discussion".

Science is supposed to be about observation and description of the natural world, not a place for you to voice your own prejudices against particular types of people. These grievances are of no lasting value whatsoever.

What kind of scientist are you sir? You’re not a scientist and you don’t know anything about science anyway which is why all these grievances allows everyone to laugh at you.

I have as many psychology degrees as Gulenko. How about sticking to the facts rather than emoting?

You are unable to tell the difference between your opinion and fact.

How many psychology research papers have you read? Is it "less than 1", "less than 2", or "more than 2"?

How many psychology books have you read? Is it "less than 1", "less than 2", or "more than 2"?

More than you since you can’t even figure out that you’ve got Daddy issues and you’re older than Sol.

If you had any expertise in psychology, you would know not to make such comments. That is why I previously said "I just know you are either unqualified or incompetent regarding the discipline of psychology, and that I find you incapable of conversing in polite society."

If you have any knowledge about psychology, you don't know how to show it. You don't even know what makes yourself tick. In terms of knowledge, you are younger than everybody - a baby.

That’s ironic since you use an alt to make fun of people’s personal problems all the time and then project your inadequacy and boomer arrogance onto me or anyone you don’t like but you can’t even be direct about that because you’re a loser who let your life pass you by eons ago and still philosophizing about shit that the Ancient Greeks figured out 10000 years ago. Talk about inefficient usage of energy and time.

Oh, when have I done that? I don't recall.

You paid people for money to use a typology that has not been tested for retest reliability when you could have taken free tests that provide a more meaningful summary of your personality if you really think you are interesting enough. That seems to be inefficient usage of energy and time.

Bro you don’t got no room to talk when you can’t even save 16 years of chasing your own tail. Paying $120 to an actual psychologist with a Ph.D to type you correctly is more efficient and cost effective than wasting your best years on a whackass forum and barfing up 17340 posts. You’re saving $7.50 a year with your method. Doesn’t take a mathematician or genius or anyone with a Ph.D to determine that you’re not a doctor, not a scientist, not a psychologist, or even know socionics theories without larping morality at anyone who don’t do as you say. You’ll still be on this forum for another 16 years and waste another 17340 posts and still be a LOSER.

I came to remark on how gulenko cited my occupation as a justification for a typing and I can follow the reasoning behind it. But I notice that this thread is apparently an argument that I can't read because of ignored posts

A difference between you and me is that I know Socionics has limited value and has much room for improvement.

When are you going to pay $120 to an actual psychologist?

You don't need formal qualifications in order to publish insights in a research paper. I only mentioned your apparent lack of formal qualification because of your habit of confusing opinion with fact and being ignorant of basic psychologist practices.

You really need to get more sleep. All the bags under your eyes and rolls around your waist don’t help with how crusty and old you are. I’m just a concerned member of this community, that’s all.

Your insults would be irrelevant to advancing Socionics theory even if you knew me. What would help is if you knew basic Socionics theory.

What would help you is you know basic hygiene. But at your age, old dogs don’t learn new tricks.

Ok, cut and paste is efficient but ineffective. Try thinking faster. Oh, my bad. Took you over 16 years and you still don’t know shit. I suggest eating more foods with omega-3 fatty acids even if your brain has been occupied with cobwebs before the last time Plato gave a lecture.

Your wasted your own time making remarks you knew to be lies. I suggest if have no respect for others, you should at least learn to have respect for yourself.
