I can imagine an ILE acting that way ...

Yeah, seems like a bigtime ILE! Good book, by the way (also a typical ILE kind of book).

    Uh uh.

    INTj.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I agree. Look as his expansive gestures and his continual inclusion of the crowd in his thinking process. He has this manner of "thinking out loud" and trying to get the audience to picture in his mind what he is picturing. Very un-LII. He's completely focused on the novelty of his own ideas, on mentally stimulating himself and the crowd, and on producing insight.

A typical trait are phrases like, "now let's just imagine...", said with a very intriguing intonation, followed by an unexpected, seemingly conflicting set of images that he resolves in an unusual way. He's searching for ways of looking at things that have potential -- and all out loud. Very . It makes you feel as if you're participating in a mental expedition with an unknown finish. When LIIs speak on similar subjects, you get a different impression: "wow, this guy has fit everything together conceptually." With the ILE the act of searching (i.e. simply trying to find new and better ways of looking at things) is more important than the destination itself (i.e. a structured conceptual system).
