    Default The Departed

I was kinda mesmerized by Leonardo DiCaprio's performance! Whoa!

I posted once on here that i'd seen a celebrity typing of him as ISFj, then Rocky said he was ENTP. The one who plays his partner in the coke deals in the beginning seems like an Exxp and I was sort of watching his movements the whole movie. It seems you can sometimes really tell introverts from extroverts, though i think most people would say sensors and intuitives are easiest to tell apart.

Mods can move this to anything goes. I basically just wanted to say I saw this movie and Leo is great in it.

He was, there were only three well developed characters in the story though. The whole movie was badly strategized, and the ending seemed like they just wrote as they went along and couldn't figure out an ending. "What should we do? ...Kill everyone! Brilliant!"

....I had such high hopes for that movie too!

Has anyone seen Infernal Affairs? The film the departed was based on?

I saw this movie recently. I said to my friend, feeling very awkward introducing the subject of my personal life and activities, "I saw a movie last night." He says, "Really? What movie?" I say, "The Departed. It was okay, but there was too much violence." He responds, "Who'd you go with?" I say, "This girl from town--Laura. I don't really like her." He laughs and says, "Why?" I say, "Ahh, I dunno. She's not my sort of girl."

I thought that was a really interesting dialouge.

Well I do not know for sure DiCaprio's type, but I said to my friend as I walked out the theather, this movie was totally ENTp (DiCaprio) vs ESTp (Damon) character wise.

No no no no. Listen to me, I've gotten the types straight.

Di Caprio impersonates an ENTj cp 6w7 - way too reactive to be ENTp -
    Damon impersonates an ESTp 3w2
Damon's girlfriend is an ISFj 2w1 (at least the actress is so ISFj that she can't play any other part)
    Nicholson impersonates an ISTj 8
The chief of the police department is an ENTj 3w2
The sub-chief (white-haired one) is an ISFj
The sergeant (the super quick-witted one) is ESTp 8w7

As for Di Caprio himself, he's the same type as the following actors, with whom he shares facial traits and body movements: Brad Pitt, Joshua Hartnett, Ashton Kutcher. If you can type them, you have his type. I won't bother.

ENTj for DiCaprio makes sense, and was my second choice. In light of Damon's girlfriend being ISFj even more so. DiCaprio and her gave off some dual vibes that I noted.

My opinion for ENTp was he seemed to have a role funtion. He would back down and not know how to defend himself people applied force to him, or he would apply too much force.

Infernal Affairs is good, but I prefer The Departed. I can't remember which I saw first, but there was a bit in Infernal Affairs which I knew wouldn't sit well with a Western mind such as mine. It's where the guy falls from the building onto the car, and his friend has a flashback of 'good times'. It's cliched, and it makes me cringe.

    Default The Departed

A very good action film about an undercover cop and a corrupt police detective that attempt to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in South Boston. What do you guys think the character types are? Here are my predictions:

    Billy Costigan- Leonardo DiCrapio: ENTp

    Captain Queenan- Martin Sheen: ESFj
    Sergeant Dignam- Mark Wahlberg: ISTj
    Captain Ellerby- Alec Baldwin: ESTj
    Brown- Anthony Anderson: ISFp

    Colin Sullivan- Matt Damon: ESTp
    Madolyn- Vera Farmiga: INFj

    Frank Costello- Jack Nicholson: ENTj
    Mr. French- Ray Winstone:
    ISFj
    Fitzy- David O'Hara: ISTp

    Delahunt- Mark Rolston: ESTj
