I actually think this is what supervision is in it's essence. You pay attention to them, learn and become a "slave". We are sensitive to our polr.

It can be useful to be in this mode though, but when the situation changes and I can be myself I notice that it wasn't genuine interest.

That I look too fat and pale at times.

That I’m actually likable.

That I have Fi polr ... and don’t catch subtle hints about relationships and changing feelings.

That I shouldn’t just trust and become close with ESIs who aren’t family members.

That ESIs are fallible too.

Look at a supervisor type as someone who will always be somewhat blind to the supervisee's full capabilities and worth; it's the supervisor's perception and approach that needs to change. I've met quite a few bullying LIEs who insisted on perfection and created unnecessary stress to all those under them. Personal anxiety lessens when one accepts that one is doing one's best so the ball is really in the supervisor's court; if work is painful then I recommend looking for alternate employment with new insight into what you actually need.

Meh I know what you mean about the official sources thing, but trust your own vision with that stuff too.

Yes it's technically a Te polr thing but that doesn't mean you are incorrect- I just think Te polrs can really see how somebody is doing something completely for their own selfish purposes and covering it up with 'but I'm being professional!"

They just assume that I'd put great care in making money and providing with my skills and also to make sure that I trust their way what is best to be done and it would invalidate my own functioning. They also see my hobbies as work without payback and I see their concept of relaxation and freetime mind numbing at best. Nah.
