Red face How do I spot an IEI-Fe?

Hello there, I realized that I have a hard time recognizing IEI-Fe types. I think maybe it's because they blend in a lot due to creative Fe, and I can't really seem to recognize them on sight. I don't think I can distinguish them from IEEs, SEIs, or maybe ILEs if they happen to be male. I literally type anyone I don't know as IEI-Fe, and this is becoming a problem.

Based on my present knowledge, I see them as bring very soft, friendly, and maybe a bit mischievous due to underdeveloped Se. They can be a bit dramatic sometimes, but they look very cute lmao.

Also, does anyone else get this strange feeling whenever they see some IEIs (more common among Ni subtypes)? I feel like they kind of see through me, and are plotting to ruin my life, or overpower me, or something, all while pretending everything's perfectly fine. I don't feel that way towards all IEIs but that is also one of the indicators I look for.

    Bonjour.
Use me as a lab rat.
    I bite.

Really interesting what you said about Fe subtype's contour being blurred into IEE, SEI and ILE; those are all types that I and others have considered for myself in the past, especially IEE)

Someone who knows me very well on a personal level, @Uncle Ave, might be able to help by expanding on the subtle differences between the types.
If he actually wishes to help of course

it's because it needs skills which develop by typing and watching, communicating with people of those types

What is your own type? My theory is that any particular type have the biggest problem identifying their own dual, even their incidentals. I highly doubt that you are going to learn how to identify IEIs from what we have to say about it. Just keep reading and practice, practice and practice. It only takes about ten years to become an accomplished typer, so stamina is the key word here.

Well, I am friends with @Baboooshka, yes, and I'm willing to help; not sure how well I know the others though especially SEI.

The difference with IEE is that I feel they look down on me in a way, though some are always telling me how much they value me, I often feel like they try to turn me into someone I am not. I don't get that with IEIs like Bab, more like they are the ones looking up to me in a way. But that's ITR so I guess it doesn't really help...I guess IEEs are alot touchier, much more punctilious, regardless of their social background. IEI is quite difficult to offend with "incorrrect" behavior.

I have experience with an ILE, too. I guess in comparison to Bab she is much more "down to earth", doesn't try to present herself in a fancy, kate bush-like manner. Also has trouble showing vulernability. But the latter might be enneagram type related (she's a 7w8). She also has a complete disregard for how others see her, and doesn't seem to care of she hurts others feelings (or is not aware of it, which is another distinguishing factor)

SEI...what can I say? I have an SEI-Si aunt and one SEI-Fe friend. I guess SEI is much more into real life things than IEI. IEI is like this poet that lives in a lofty dream castle looking over the sea. Like IEIs, they can be elegeant but are into real life things. They also care alot what people think of them, it seems they feel bad if others react badly to them (at least true of the ones I have known).

    Yes lmao

    Some signs:
    - Less engaged in stereotypically masculine activities if male (although not unusual for females to be tomboyish)
    - More verbal and poetic and less physical than other people in general
    - Complains a lot about social systemic type things, bureaucracy; complaints can actually succeed in changing some things around them
    - “Stupid” shit eating sense of humor. SEI, IEE and ILE all have a more intellectual and less base sense of humor IMO, as only IEI are Se-valuing/seeking out of them.

Well, to identify the Fe creative component, at least (so, differentiating from IEEs and ILEs for example),
When you talk to the person are they very subtly reactive to how you are saying things (the emotional atmosphere between you two). do they always seem to be slightly re-adjusting, fine-tuning, and adapting themselves to you? basically, how sensitive are they to you and your emotional expressions (versus what you're actually saying)

whenever i meet another Fe creative I initially feel slightly unnerved because I'm usually the one doing that for others, and it feels weird to be on the receiving end of it (read: too much Fe for me!)

Really we’re just talking about an IEI that is more extroverted in the common sense of the word. So somebody that is just as moody but who is more expressive about it (wether consciously or not). Somebody who is more inclined to initiate things even though rarely in a forceful manner. Maybe also someone more talkative?
Basically someone who resembles an EIE but that will run out of energy super quickly and leave you confused because you won’t know why they suddenly just turned quiet and avoidant.

Well have you seen videos of IEI-Fes? I know this is kind of a Se solution which isn't for everyone, but once you see the dynamics of a given type, the microexpressions, the body language, then it gets a lot easier to recognize a person of that type - at least from my Fe pov.

It's hard to spot a chameleon; IEIs have the gift of being able to adopt a persona so as to blend into the crowd.

There was some other thread here where someone linked a video of Dita Von Teese as an example of IEI-Ni - she was being interviewed by Michelle Phan, and without knowing anything else about her, Michelle immediately stood out to me as a Fe subtype. Maybe watching them together might help give you a better feel for recognizing the IEI-Fe type in general.

    These are introverted subtypes:

    Emmanuelle Seigner IEI harmonizing
    Kjell Westö IEI normalizing
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

That IEI-Ni at the beginning is the cutest IEI ever. He also appeared at the end, so watch the entire video.

Btw, do you guys have any examples of male IEI-Fes? I'm not sure if all of the videos shown on the examples article page are accurate, and I would rather see typings that are confidently confirmed. The females ones are interesting, but I figured a guy would be less likely to have an obvious EFJ accent.

My SLI ex-wife found him, and believe me, she only deals in high quality Si.

He's a hair stylist, not a barber. Plus, he's a real IEI-Fe type, not a speculation. You can get different opinions about who is and isn't an IEI-Fe. I know this guy pretty well, and I also know how he reacts around SLE females. If you are looking for accurate data, this is one data point.

Yes, I'll upload them again and PM you. Since your male Duals can look entirely gay and scary, I'll send you a compensating picture of a female EIE-Fe, who is the epitome of feminine beauty.

I've seen IEI-Nis who looked like that before. He definitely had the fearful, uncertain, spaced out, Ni look. I'm don't have other evidence though.

He was acting, though. it was so exaggerated
are you saying he is IEI-Ni or he's playing the role of one?

I'd say both, if he was an SLE or some other type, I don't think he would've acted like that even if he's following a script. There is a possibly that he's acting, but then no one would know his type in real life.

There are some other IEIs who I think are similar in body language.

    Of course he's acting!!
He's playing the naive, unsuspecting, in-his-own-world dude that happens to stumble into this seeming paradise town- so he has to act over-the-top uncertain and clueless. It's to set the contrast between the confident, direct, know-what-they-want women in the video.
He exaggerates the role so much too.. the only type we could find within him is the deliberate portrayal of a caricature of a type

same with jared leto's joker, idk if you can assume he's IEI. only sure thing i gathered that i remember was sx/so (from the movie not just the video)

Yes, I can definitely see your point. I was looking at the VI and body language, but I don't really know anything about his cognition by itself.
