How long did your longest conversations (no interruptions) last and what were they like? And what was their types?

I dream of having like an 8-hour conversation with someone. I have had good candidates but due to long distance and different time zones, this has not been possible.
But I think when you really have a good connection with someone, these daily affairs get second place and the two people involved would rather stay together talking until they get don't have energy to be awake.

I didn't count but a few hours (5/6+) is a sure thing. It really depends on the affinity and closeness with a particular individual.

Two were childhood friends (we had the conversations as adults) and - I think - one is an ESI and the other SLE.

And one is someone I met in my mid 20s and he might be Lii. Might be delta.

. I also just connected with this person very much on a mental level. It feels like we would Ne out together and that we had a lot to teach one another, he in a more scientific realm, me in a more emotional realm, but sometimes it might be a bit reversed. We were interested in the same sorts of things, art, music, science, nature... he was definitely more of a society-focused alpha type though, where as I'm a little more, personal/individual in my focus I think.

I would estimate that my longest conversations were in the neighborhood of 5 hours long. Most of these lengthy discussions were between myself and someone who ended up being being a huge jerk. The last time we spoke, he called me a rat and said that he hated my hair, my voice, and my house. I don't know for sure what his Socionics type was, but he considered himself a cross between an INFP and an INTP in the MBTI. I'm really glad I don't talk to him anymore. He was the single most poisonous individual I have ever met. Almost all of his close relationships were fraught with serious issues and usually ended up falling apart.

I thought of mentioning this too, I would stay on the phone with friends for hours upon hours when I was in high school. One time we dared each other to just keep going until we passed out. I remember I stayed up for 30 some odd hours until I just went out, though I don’t think I was on the phone that whole time lol. I’ve had some rather lengthy ones over the internet during recent times as well. Many hours on many occasions with people really, though I guess there is usually at least a short interlude or some sort of activity that comes into the mix.

Yeah I don't really think I can handle long conversations anymore. I don't even like talking on the phone either. I think the person I was talking to might have been an LSI.

If we count texting, definitely some 12+ hours given that I often end up matching to my rp partner's/friend I talk about stories with's timezone with my own sleep schedule getting even worse than usual. Currently have someone I'm doing that too, though she has work and I have school stuff to do, so it is not as constant, but basically any free time we get for the most of the days.

Irl, definitely had days I would just spend entire day with a SEI friend at uni talking about stuff like that too, but if completely uninterrupted, probably 4-5 hours, possibly with my mom since we often end up going without talking much and min two hours of talking about stuff days before we both go back to our corners.

I honestly don't like talking that much. Talk is cheap. I'd rather get stuff done together, like a lesbian with a can-do attitude. lol

But yeah, talking is just manipulative cheap-air to me no matter what you say or who you are. Narcissists tend to love bomb people, but true love- they will show you physically in some way I think.

Well... I think ideally talking a lot WOULD work, if both people somehow perfectly understood their physical roles outside of the social sphere and accepted them equally. However that is an ideal that I think isn't there with many middle class ppl. In my experience, I get annoyed at people who just talk a lot but expect me to all the heavy lifting because they want a slave and a sycophant. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind at all doing my own share of physical tasks in a relationship even tho I'm NF, but I loathe being 'used' or like, an emotional one-way tampon.

I was thinking in most cases, 20-30 minutes if a person is lucky haha. The two people that have gotten me to talk the most in the real world were an ILE girl and an SEE girl. We could talk one on one all night and all day, so 24 hours easily I suppose. Sometimes for days. We'd get happily exhausted and have to unwillingly get some rest at times.

I don't keep track of time well, probably 30 minutes to an hour, but I would've been willing to talk more than an hour at a time with some people. I do like to talk (not on the phone much anymore). I don't pick up on non-verbal cues well, although I'm better at it than I used to be (non-verbal communication is important, I've just never been good at it).
