    Default Which type does this

Which type would be nice to you one day and cold another: hot and cold and which would be nice to you one day and hurt you the next without seeming like they are joking
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

It would probably not be a specific type, but something that would rear its ugly head in a specific intertype relation. I often expirience ESEs this way, it seems they only work their Fe magic on you when they want something from you. If they do not want something from you, to me it's like I stop existing for them. ESEs are my benefactors, so perhaps "Benefactor" is the answer to your first question (hot/cold).

They are not being "cold" to you, just directing their attention to other things.

Idk about other types, but an (immature) IEI could do that. When they're cold it'll be in a subtle, under your skin way. And they would only do it if they feel a certain sense of superiority over you- as in, you're not what they view as "strong".

Is someone doing this to you?

That is an xEE through and through. Hot one minute and cold the next.

I see IEEs and SEEs behave this way a lot to people. I have been told by a person I'm close with that I act like this way too. "It's like one day you're nice to me but the other day you're not, is that a Capricorn thing?"

It is more likely a strong dimensional Fe two-faced manipulative whore thing. (valued or not) Yes, Fe is about being a manipulative two-faced whore just like Fi is about being a pretentious stuffy moralist with no heart. Deal with it.
