    Default Defascification of the US

    What are your ideas to defascify the US? You don't have to be able to do them.

    Trumpist America is not fascist like Mussolini's Italy or ******'s Germany, it's authoritarian conservative like Franco's Spain or Pinochet's Chile. For a good understanding of actual fascist doctrines and viewpoints I would read this: https://archive.org/stream/100Questi...itics_djvu.txt

    America was fascist before Trump. This post has been brought to you by Coca-Cola and the U.S. Army. Killmonger was right, sacrifice yourself next, viva la muerte.

    If anyone can't see American entertainment as one long fascist fantasy, their eyes are sewn shut. "Let's form a superhero team and dispense justice all by ourselves for the good of mankind! Let's sacrifice some people! Let's sacrifice some more people! Remember Groot! Viva la muerte!" Addressing American fascism means addressing American pop culture first.

    This is probably correct, but it's complicated because the government and media entities that spread propaganda have long been intertwined and many times it's been the government that actively sought to influence the culture in order to drive certain policy agendas and actually succeeded in doing so. The father of one of the guys that directed/produced The Birth of a Nation was a former colonel for the Confederate army and his grievances against Reconstruction pushed his son to create a cinematic master piece (for the time) that became commercially viable and successful after it had been intentionally propped up by Woodrow Wilson and the White House, resulting in a resurgence of the KKK. During WWII, there was an actual Writers War Board, funded by the US government and dubbed "the greatest propaganda machine in history," and they actually worked with Disney to make cartoons that would justify America's involvement in the war. From the Cold war to "the War on Drugs" to the Iraq War, the powers that be (the government and the rich, powerful and connected that operate in tandem) have played a direct role in influencing public opinion. Not to long ago I was watching one of the films that came out about 9/11 and it was a total propagandist Bush/Cheney shit show; Christopher Nolan's Batman was another Bush/Cheney administration hand job; not to mention, the slew of shows like NCIS that emerged around that time ever targeting Islamist extremists.

    And of course it can argued that the people are the ones who install the government officials and so perhaps said officials are just giving the people what they wanted/expected/deserved but not necessarily. America has had several bad actors that promised to be one thing and then delivered another. Granted, the American public is generally dumb and/or disengaged af and so they certainly missed the writings on the wall, but my point is that once a select few are given power, who knows how that will be wielded, and they are ones in the best position to use the vast powers (including their incestuous ties to media [CNN, Fox News, etc...] and other industries) at their disposal to sway the cultural zeitgeist. The fish rots from the head.

    I'm not sober and will post nonsense. But I've been thinking a lot about white supremacy. It may include an entitlement to present one's opinion as though one is an expert, an authority, even though one lacks such credentials (not to say white supremacy isn't part of the system of gaining said credentials to begin with). It may include complaining about people in customer service when they make less money than you because obviously they are stupid - were they not, wouldn't they have better jobs? Meritocracy = white supremacy = classism. Perhaps a lie that betrays us all.

    Those who don't understand why there is fascist sentiment in the United States don't understand how desolate and depressing life in the poor rural areas of the US can be, like how it was in Germany following the versailles treaty. When you live in deprived and desolate conditions all you want to do is conquer and fight others, and better if you could do so with camaraderie and purpose which is what nationalism/fascism offers. The only thing that will make fascism go away is improving the quality of life and general happiness for working class people (which is pretty the core aim of populist ideologies like fascism).

    America isn't fascist like the axis powers in WW 2. It is however white supremacist. White privilege, white fragility and a host of ideas are transmitted in American society to create segregation and the maintenance of white power. In American society, white or the ability to appear white is a of status and represents safety to white society.

    When people speak of safety, safe neighborhoods and good neighborhoods, it is about white neighborhoods. And poor and unsafe neighborhoods are black and brown. It is also the idea black and brown people who make places unsafe when they arrive due to immigration. These ideas slowly and surely segregates white from people of color.

    America keep this going because it allows for the exploitation of black, brown, and yellow people but it also allows for the exploitation of poor whites. However by keeping poor whites segregated from other poor, it is able to pit groups against one another to maintain status quo.

    America is just groups of white elite contending for power while maintaining white supremacy. The conflict to end white supremacy is ultimately the conflict of the 21st century and perhaps beyond, not just in the US but also globally. Unfortunately it's unlikely to end without great suffering.

    @mu4

    Ah yes, the 'white supremacist society' in which the greatest evil one can commit is 'racism'.
