I keep thinking:

Rick = id
Morty = ego
Jerry = super-ego

But the psychoanalytic arrangement of the three main male characters is probably more a reflection on how society paradoxically over-values the id to the point it's not cool anymore so Jerry would be the id and Rick the super-ego. Notice Jerry is always chasing carrots and rewarding his kids, and Rick is really harsh on Morty and well-disciplined himself minus all the drinking and burping which is more of an idiosyncracy than anything. Wubba lubba dub dub.
