This was such an incredibly slow moving and awkward movie. Half of the movie was people just staring at each other not saying anything. Really uncomfortable to watch. Seeing Christina Hendrick's head get blown off was cool though. hehe jk. . . sort of. Anyway ryan gosling's character was an ISTp, and very very clearly introverted without a doubt. Like I said, it was almost all a bunch of silent staring with no expression whatsoever. What makes you think carey mulligan's character was INFp?

Default Ryan Gosling's Character in "Drive"

Just saw Drive. This movie is an instant classic. No lie.

I'm unashamedly perplexed by the nameless character played by Ryan Gosling.
So let's figure out his Socionics type.

I would advise anyone interested in seeing this movie to not read ahead. This is one best experienced by surprise.

    Exhibit A:
    • Silent but deadly demeanor
    • Carefully devises reckless plans that are necessary toward protecting his love interest
    • Completely harmless toward the child, yet disturbingly cold to adult strangers (no hand-shakes)
    • Aware of the ill-intentioned characteristics of those he's surrounded himself with
    • Calm, composed, patient... a man who speaks words with no words at all.

    Exhibit B:
I believe this music video best puts the character's various mannerisms and emotive expressions. Really, he says very little throughout the film,
and his real feelings are hinted through the music, so this sample should do justice.

YES. It was extremely uncomfortable. And his character is SLI.

I did not see this movie; it's too violent and emotionally strong for me.

    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I liked this movie. I've been realizing I rather like Ryan Gosling in most of his roles.

Anyway what I loved the most about Drive was all the time spent showing Gosling's character in silence, especially his eyes. It conveyed so much information with so little.

I don't have an opinion on a type for the character. I'm confused. But I really loved the character.

I remember that I mentioned once that SLI resembled the story of the scorpion and the frog and just today I found this movie that includes the latter story (and with an SLI protagonist). *mind blown*

Irene is probably EII. She is Fi Dom at least. I can't see Fe in her.
