I Need Help! Benefactor Landlord

Help!
Moving in a few days and my landlord is my benefactor.
His type is confirmed LSI.
I'm afraid he won't take my concerns seriously regarding upkeep of my rental and other issues that may come up.
Benefactor does not listen to the concerns of beneficiary...
Every time I've bought a car from an LSI, I've run into issues and been tricked and scammed.
Strategies I'm thinking of utilizing (How ILI of me)
-Bringing my SEE dual w me to look at the apartment
-Bringing my EIE (his dual) friend with me
-Tapping into my inner actor and use emotional coercion to get things I need done done
What will make him listen to me?!

I don't understand; Have you already tried talking to your landlord or is this speculation? When in doubt bringt your EIE. Besides, whoever sold you a car and your landlord are unrelated issues.

Do you really need the care in practical matters of Te/Fi when it comes to rent? Respect the rules to cover your ass.


Of course such issues might come up. Besides this relation should handle itself very well in those sort of matters.

I don't know about how to make a landlord (or benefactor) listen but the presence of a 3rd party should help, I think

Leave the SEE, bring the EIE.

Also, get things in writing. LSI's are sticklers for legal details. Document everything. And finally, investigate the landlord's history with tenants for complaints. You might find this at the BBB, or at your city's rental housing licensing department. You can also check with the local police to see if the landlord has had anyone evicted for any reason. Like, for playing loud music after 8PM or finding weed in their room on an unannounced sweep of the apt. Yes, it is illegal to go into a tenant's place without notice, but if they find drugs and evict you and keep your security deposit, you are going to have bigger problems than them overstepping their legal rights, and who needs the hassle?

LSI seems to be the archetypal landlord, many landlords are of this type.

My current landlord is my conflictor, so maybe I should also be worried.

I think LSI's can also become real life trolls through obscure devotion. That is one of cult devotee variants. That old dude who crashed outsider's funerals because it related to gays and stuff. I don't remember the name.

Many ILIs live like hoarders often with no easily discernable appearance of order. If you live a relatively ordered existence (keep things neat) then LSIs will not tend to think that you are the direct cause of most of the problems. A normal, well-adjusted LSI will usually attend to his responsibilities very promptly, but will resent and stubbornly resist having to attend to what he sees as your responsibilities. Now, you can get nightmare landlords of every type because unreasonableness is not type related......
