If you relate almost 100% to IEI why aren't you IEI? I can't understand what's said so I can't tell the IR.

Ok Mega, this is your final type and her's

You are ISTP and she's ENFP; don't let her go because she's your dual.

    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

These types of comments, echoed by the other strong Fi users in this thread, perfectly illustrate how we are cognitively enacting our roles within the system even as we speak about the inner workings of the system, and therefore "biases" and "blind spots" will usually be made manifest in our arguments. It's all very interesting and worth noting.

I can totally understand why strong Fi users would count "resonating" with a type as integral to actually being that type, Te evidence be damned. lol I'm always asking people to support their premises with evidence so as to establish what we can all agree works, objectively speaking. Therefore, I'm inclined to minimize or completely discount purely subjective stances centered around what one relates to. My thinking is that I may relate to many traits of a Lion, but that doesn't mean I'm a Lion, and, from my perspective, especially if 10 people can't objectively substantiate or agree that I'm a Lion. The problem is, inevitably, someone will see a wolf or a shark, but at the very least we could establish that we're all observing a predator. For me, that would be valuable data that could lead to a conclusion about who or what I actually am. But, of course, there is still a blind spot here because there must be some ground given to subjective truth, because we'd expect someone to be more in touch with who they actually are (and Fi users are far more aware of this than others). And I do agree with that, but for me it's a problem when someone is being inconsistent with who they say they are--then, it's like, your subjective truth is an unreliable narrator, if you get what I'm saying. And there must be some level of objectivity or else, anyone can be anything, whether they actually are or not, which throws off the whole point of reliably observed Inter type relation theory.
