    Default Member Questionnaire (Zhaylin)

    Member Questionnaire 1 (Zhaylin)
What is beauty? What is love?
Beauty is nature: forests, lakes, animals, the stars.
Love is taking care of the people in your life (emotionally, financially, spiritually when applicable)
What are your most important values?
    Loyalty, loving-kindness, empathy, compassion, faith.
Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
I identify as one of Jehovah's Witnesses (a Christian religion). I'm not practicing my faith though because I've not gotten my house in order and took up vaping. (they practice what they preach and are "clean", in all ways, as much as possible)
Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
Ridiculous and saddening (and often-times infuriating).

Power? In individuals or bigger? Or personally? Individually is personal. In "bigger" (corporations, governments), it's often abused: power in determining aid, mercy; stepping on "the little people" or each other to obtain higher ranks or more wealth.

Personally, my power is in my ability to empathize with others and in being able to mingle with others regardless of their class, religion, nationality etc. I can get along with almost anyone.
What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Religion, crafts, video games, tv shows and movies, survival scenarios. Those are my interests, so I converse about them for a long time. Other than that, I just listen, ask questions, and draw comparisons (when possible) in order to contribute or advise.
Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
To a point. I LOVE playing detective and unearthing the reasons why this is this and that is that. I ask others for their experiences and the knowledge they have about those things.

I'm not really focused on my body though. I never learned (nor cared to) how to style my hair. Makeup is too expensive and tends to break me out, so I only use it on rare occasions. I've gained weight over the years and would like to lose 25 pounds... but not enough so that I'll actually start eating better or exercising rofl

Health wise, I focus on what hurts, is acting weird, or results which have come back weird (i.e. why has my white blood count been at the lowest end of normal for a decade+? Can allergies do that?) It's like, don't just give me a Tylenol because I have a headache. Help me figure out why I got the headache to begin with
What do you think of daily chores?
    What are chores?
Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
I friggin LOVED Bird Box. I finished 3 seasons of the Wanted, on Netflix, in about 3 days. It was really good.
I've also really been enjoying the Gifted and Manifest.

It's been years since I read anything. Ugh, I can't even remember the series now. One of the authors was Geer and it was a fictional "historic" account of Indigenous Americans. I never finished the series and have wanted to revisit it. All of their stories were amazing. The Clan of the Cave Bear series was my all time favorite (except for the last one).
What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
Seeing others in emotional pain and not being able to help them. I like feeling helpful and easing burdens. It doesn't make me cry, though- just beside myself.

My surgery last year (to repair a broken shoulder) eventually made me cry because the pain was so severe.

Darn near everything makes me smile. Silliness, humor, some stupidity (mine and others), annoyances lol. Smiling is a default for me whether I'm happy or not (sometimes, you "have to smile to keep from crying or killing someone").
Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
I can feel "at home" pretty much anywhere. I love nature, though I'm too lazy to actually get out in it.
I'm most comfortable, and at peace, in my room. It has all my creature comforts.

I don't really feel a sense of belonging anywhere. I'd like to say with my husband, but he has such a low threshold of tolerance for interaction. I'd also like to say with my kids, but I think they just tolerate me lol. I feel a strong sense of belonging with my Congregation, but only when I'm in good standing, and that's been... gee... at least 10 years now.

It's basically just me and my bird and that's okay.
What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
My aversion to confrontation, my inability to properly discipline and guide my kids, my inability to keep my house clean were/are seen as my biggest weaknesses by others.
I dislike my laziness... but not enough to really change
What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
Other people are drawn to my smiles and compassion and empathy; which are also the things I like most about myself. I also really love my intuition and I wish I wouldn't doubt it as much as I tend to.
In what areas of your life would you like help?
Does a cleaning service count? How about a wealthy benefactor to take all these cats off my hands? Or at least have them spayed and neutered? How about it, if people would stop dumping their animals off nearby so they wouldn't come here to begin with >:[
Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
Not really. I love the peace and quiet and simplicity of monotony. I can always find some way to entertain or amuse myself.
What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
?? I like confidence and intelligence, agreeableness, passionate interests, common sense. I dislike high energy and strong emotional displays.
I can get along with almost anyone though; at least for short periods of time.
How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
What is sex and romance lol? As a concept, I think they're fine. Too much gushiness would make me uncomfortable.

What I already have- a highly intelligent spouse who takes care of me the best he can.
If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
I've raised 4. My main concern now is whether or not they'll ever leave lol.
I just want them to be happy, healthy, productive members of society.

I failed and continue to fail as a parent. I've always been too passive, permissive, and accepting. There have been no true, long lasting consequences for any of their actions.
A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?
The only beliefs I really hold dear enough to actually clash against are discrimination or religious bashing or overly swearing. And because I hold those so tightly, I'll speak up.
Except for the swearing. With my kids, I grumble and rant and tell them to friggin watch their language because they know how I feel. If it's coming from my hubby or relatives, I just grin and bear it but grumble internally.

(It's an OCD type thing. For days after exposure, those words ricochet in my brain without end. It's like tourettes in that I'll be trying to sleep or PRAY when *&$% pops into my brain. Just thinking about this is irritating me rofl )
Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
I don't really have one. I don't work or interact with people other than trips to the store (for the most part). I liken myself to a "kept woman" in that my hubby pays all my bills and taxes and gives me a small weekly allowance to work with. I wouldn't survive in society.

I think people, as a whole, are okay. They're just trying to take care of themselves the best they can, with what they have.
Racism, discrimination and homelessness are the biggest social problems I can think of. I can't really choose one that's worse.
How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
    I don't.
How do you behave around strangers?
    Friendly, accepting.

That might be tricky unless I could use my iPad? The ancient mic. for my PC bit the dust some time ago and I've never replaced it.
Thank you. I'll look into that some more tonight after all my errands.

Okay... It took me a while, but I got a video made. I don't dare watch or edit it myself (I'll cringe over everything, change my mind and delete it rofl).
This is the first thing I've ever posted to YouTube and can be viewed only by the direct link. ???
Let me know if it doesn't work. And sorry about all the cringe

@Zhaylin, I agree with SF, and will add introversion. I see a concern for personal comfort and a strong consideration of other people's feelings (and emotions which are easily read on your face), so I will say Si and Fe.
You also value intelligence in a spouse and seem to appreciate the fact that he doesn't "gush" emotions, which implies that you seek high T and low F.

    SEI?

Thank you for the reply <3
    I tested as SEI-1Fe

I'm very new to socionics and completely lost about most of it lol.
Is this a good site (http://worldsocionics.blogspot.com/2...ntegrator.html) for understanding the different types or should I just stick to sociotype.com?

Personally, I think all information is good, so I'd recommend that you take a look at both sites and see which one you prefer, if you decide you only want to view one.

Interestingly enough, both sites are owned/run by ILE's, your ostensible duals. So either or both sites should provide you with good information.

However, to the best of my knowledge, the two sites don't always perfectly agree with one another. C'est la vie.

Hi Zhaylin, I think SEI too! My sister-in-law is one so I recognize your answers and mannerisms as SEI and feel pretty confident about that.

I was raised a Jehovah's Witness and was baptized as a teenager but I am not one anymore. How long have you been a Witness?

I was baptized in 2001 and was active until ??? about 8 years ago or so.
It's where my heart remains and I hope to return one day (first, my kids need to leave the nest and I need to learn how to clean house!!)

    Thanks for you input <3
I'll look into SEI some more.
I guess the only things that doesn't sound like me is the need for (a fancy word that starts with "a" which basically means pretty things ) and "SEIs are often highly sociable and may have a close-knit circle of friends to have fun with, often socialising during recreational outings"...... "When enjoying their recreation, SEIs most prefer to share their experiences with others, and gain more satisfaction knowing that the people around them are enjoying themselves too"..... and "SEIs take pride in the construction of, or adherence to, orderly schedules that provide continuity and organisation in a well-balanced routine."

Sorry about the blue. I couldn't figure out how to do away with it.
I couldn't laugh harder at the last bit. While I appreciate order and schedules in theory, I don't like to be buttoned in. I need to have options in my day to day.

    **EDIT**
Nice, the site got rid of the blue for me!

Sol, is that your way of saying "No"? Was your text cut off? Does "N" mean something else

I’ll type you in a few minutes
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I think he’s saying you are an “N” type?

I can understand re the religion since I was raised that way. I’m actually a nonbeliever now but I don’t begrudge other people their heartfelt beliefs. :-)

Ugh, yes. My home is in serious disrepair. When my kids were young, they could be quite destructive (frequent fights saw them throwing brooms through the walls and such... and when they were even younger, they would dangle from the doorknobs :/ ). Hubby said he wouldn't fix the place up until after they left. I don't think that's ever going to happen though lol and we really can't afford to put it off any longer.
I couldn't discipline because they typically blamed each other. I couldn't bring myself to punish all of them when only one of them was actually guilty.

Thanks again, Mrs.Tortilla. I couldn't tell with Sol. I've not been here long enough to pick up the personalities and habits of anyone.
And I understand what you mean about heartfelt beliefs. My daughter-in-law was raised Catholic. We've had a lot of great discussions. I hate that her beliefs cause her so much sadness and fear, but I'm not about to tell her "You don't know what you're talking about.... (yadda yadda yadda)." That's not my place.

I finally broke down and watched my video earlier. VERY cringy lol- but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Except, what's that weird humming thing I do? I REALLY hope I don't do that in real life!!! Also, I'm fairly certain I said nuclear wrong lol.
Hubby wanted a link to the video. I don't think so

Thank you, Beautiful Sky. I am in NO way a "T" though. I wish I was but it's my weakest area.
(96% Introverted; 59% Intuitive*; 76% Feeling*; 71% Prospecting. My Intuition and Feeling have actually come down some over the years. My introversion went way up lol)

I just scanned the info for both the ISTP, ISFP, and INTP. None of them fit. A
esthetics was the word I was searching for earlier. I barely give such a second thought. I could care even less about fashion or trends. As for intellect. I am extremely lacking in every way possible (except writing/speaking and music).

Thank you, Lord Pixel. I am, indeed, Enneagram 9w1. I tritype myself as 945 though no test agrees rofl. They put me at either 925, 964, or 962
While I'm not an intellect, I try to be lol. I'm no good with patterns and symbols. But I love researching questions and following "bread crumbs" (remembering what I learn, however, is another problem entirely :/ ) That's lower on my list of needs. First and foremost are peace, harmony, comfort, entertainment.

Nah ur 2 smiley to be 4, you seem to have 2 because you seem to be in service of others. 962 makes sense actually, you also used to take meds for "anxiety" 6 is the most anxious etype.

Not sure you can be N and not be good with patterns. Are you imaginative?

The last statement you said sounds very Si-Fe and alpha.

I am forever in the service of others... but I do not want to be and neither do I seek it out. No matter how much I try to hide, people are pulled to me and I'm compelled to be of service.

I put anxiety in quotes because I don't think I have anxiety. I don't fret or fuss or worry excessively about things (if at all). But the meds help. I think it's just how my HSP manifests (sensory overload- leading to constant adrenaline surges then a need to sleep which presents, a whole lot, like narcolepsy).

I'm not intellectual enough to decipher patterns unless they're of an intuitive/emotional kind. I used to be imaginative and creative (by way of writing novellas, songs, poetry). Now, I use those only for practical things like crafts (blanket or lanyard cases for my vape) or for gaming (like Minecraft).

I'm about to take a shower and head to bed, but I'll look into 962 when I wake up.
Thank you for all your input.

And thank you, Mrs. Tortilla for the reassurance <3

i don't see N - you don;t live in the past. you live in the present - S

LSE

Ahh, that's a learned trait. I used to live in the past quite a bit. As I've gotten older, my memories have been failing more and more (Lord help me. I'm only 44.)
I don't trust the past, so I push such thoughts out of my head.

It was hard finding info, specifically, for 962... and even harder for 945.

"The core fears are of fear itself, danger, being alone, cowardice, submitting, deviance, uncertainty, being targeted, chaos, conflict, being loveless, complication, discord, being shutout, inharmonious, being worthless, being needy, unhelpful, unappreciated, immutable, and inconsequential."
    Found at https://www.typologycentral.com/foru...samaritan.html

I LOATHE chaos, conflict, complication, discord, and feeling worthless.

For 945, all I could find was: "945: Intuitive and knowledgeable 9. Most introspective, withdrawn and reserved 9, especially if self-preserving or introverted [or both]" lol
    Taken from https://www.personalitycafe.com/type...scription.html

I just looked at my scores from several tests and chose the highest ones from each area (head, heart, gut).
When I read about the types separately, I identify a whole lot more with the 4 and 5 than with the 2 and 6.

Hmmm... I will have to keep searching. 962, as a tritype (especially bits from the core fears) was pretty accurate.
    So, thank you @Lord Pixel
