Over 10 years ago, when I was doing a lot of soul searching, one of the theories that helped to shape my self-understanding were Millon's ideas on personality.

Since then, it has turned out, Millon had added one personality pattern, that, in hindsight, seemed to apply to some degree to yours truly: the ebullient-exuberant-turbulent personality pattern.

It is not the same thing as the assertive-turbulent scale we can read about on some personality website, but a pattern alongside other patterns in the domain of personality pathology and disorders.

Too bad there aren't a lot of resources on the internet yet that explain this personality pattern more in-depth. What I can make from it so far, that it has been delineated from the histrionic personality pattern (meaning that before, this personality pattern was seen as a variant to the histrionic pattern). I wonder how much this relates to e.g. ADD/ADHD patterns and sociotypes such as ILE and IEE, as the pattern says this personality type (in its unhealthy manifestations) is about seeking novelty (Ne Base-related) while being vulnerable to discomfort (Si-suggestive related).
