Is she related to Emily Deschanel? They kinda look the same.Originally Posted by stefana

INFj, maybe N subtype.
Her gestures and overall relaxedness made me think INFp, but then I asked myself, "Would I want to have her as my shrink?", and the answer was, "Hell no". Which is how I differentiate INFjs from INFps
Her lethargy and ethereal eyes remind me a lot of an INFj guy I used to know
And yes, they are sisters: http://www.fedge.net/~zdeschanel/art...girl-3-05.html

Yeah, me too...Actually I'm also not that familiar with Zooey.

I kinda think she's ESTp... I tend to type too many people ESTp though, but quotes like this makes it seem like at least a possibility:
"Question: So let me ask you: You grew up in a household where your dad's working behind the camera, making these incredible movies. What was the inspiration for you to go in front of the camera? How did that happen?
Zooey: I was always performing for people. I liked the attention being on me. I wasn't really the most charming person, socially - it took me a long time to develop my people skills - but the one place I was always comfortable was onstage, acting or singing."

What about Emily D.'s character (Dr. Brennan, I think) in Bones? When I first watched the first episode, I kinda felt an affinity with her.

Yes. Seeing those ethereal eyes in a recent magazine now makes me think INFj.Originally Posted by raisonpure

any new thoughts on zooey?
I really find her attractive but don't feel she's in my quadra.

SEI or IEI, imo; I tend to think IEI-Fe.
Ti-ISTj.
Deschanel is apparently engaged to musician Benjamin Gibbard, who seems Fe-ENFj.
not beta. what are you people, retarded? I personally think she is an NT type. likely intp.
asd
Heath is Si-ISTp and has absolutely no input of value on anything.
You're all overlooking the very pertinent fact that Jim Carrey is a fucking faaaaaaggot.
Deschanel is a far too positively responsive to Carrey's intense retardation to be any kind of PoLR. Her eyes convey Se/Fe > Si/Ne/Te.
good god at all that nonsense i said

She actually reminds me of Camille Claudel.

Oh my God, she is so funny, it's like she's constantly high or something. Apparently, she and Katy Perry look really alike.
Zooey Deschanel
Type?
Easy Day
Some alpha, not lii.
from those interviews, i think se-lsi ...
that's my dual
No way man. If she's an ST, it's SLE, but I think she's pretty stereotypically Alpha tbh. Probably ILE.
And COKED THE FUCK OUT in that Letterman interview

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,

GOD this is such a funny but awkward interview. Carrey is so sort of unrestrained and is just naturally comedic, whereas Deschanel is much more composed and, I dunno...you can tell that she feels awkward with Carrey's naturalness. Like, he is awkward sometimes, and his attempts at being funny seem forced once in a while, but he rolls with the blows, so to speak; she seems as though she doesn't understand his ability to just "put himself out there" like that. Maybe she is an introvert.

I'm actually kind of intruiged by the fact that you think she is our dual, Juju, because I have always been sort of fascinated by her, like I really enjoy her very inherent type of zaniness. From a purely subjective perspective I would easily call her my dual, but she seems like she would be sort of turned off or *insert raised eyebrow smiley* by any real Beta's natural intensity or seriousness.

Wow she definitely was on something in that Letterman interview. That was more than nervousness.
It's really hard to get a read on her. She seems so different in each of her videos. I'll just go with Fe>Fi for now as that is what I think is most apparent.
Is Jim Carey an ILE? He was so annoying and obnoxious in that interview. She dealth with him a lot better than I would have.

Yeah he was kind of annoying, but for some reason its endearing because he's so unrestrained. Like on one hand its just fucking annoying and sometimes I want to smack him and tell him to shut the fuck up but then he makes me laugh and I think, "Oh alright." She kind of looks sort of up-tight in comparison to him, but also more composed and "real."

Fe-ISFp, most likely 4w3. Alpha is obvious lol.
dude... lol
How ironic
And yeah, I can't see her getting along too well in a beta dominant atmosphere. She seemed awkward in dealing with Carrey's incessant SeFe (Se-ESTp 7w6 so/sx) antics.
Out of curiosity, how would you have dealt with him?
4w3-5w6-8w7
Since it is TV and it could possibly impact my career, I would try to provide some minimal fake laughter at his jokes and behavior which I did not find entertaining. I would try not to roll my eyes too much (though it would inevitbly happen because with someone so obnoxious I would have to show how I feel) while the camera is rolling and if possible pull him aside and ask him if he could tone it down (I probably wouldn't metion how I think is being attention seeking, dramatic and obnoxious). Overall I would probably be pretty reserved and quite because he would make me uncomfortable.
I've never seen an ESTp be that obnoxious. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen someone be so obnoxious. I know ESTps like to add excitment to their stories but he is pretty over the top.

As usual on the16types, these typing responses are varied...
I just saw that I agree with Ashton on this one... amazing
---
I've noticed a tendency among some to type Se women alpha... Or at least type them 'ethical' types... One must remember that--in many cases--female examples of a Sociotype present themselves much differently than males of the same Sociotype.
The stereotype of betas as "hard" and liking "hard" things does not apply to all betas--and in my experience, I'm not sure it applies to even most beta women. (some but certainly not all.)
Our current set of type descriptions are poor--the 'logical' descriptions at least... They are written with males in mind... Many women don't relate with them, e.g. Mimosa, my Mom --and beyond that, when attempting to type women, some would-be-Socionists don't even know what they're looking at... And thus they type females as ethical types when they aren't.
WHen I saw these interviews I thought Se was pretty damned blatant... And IJ temperament fairly obvious... I'll look again.
