Thread: Scenarios for shows

    Default Scenarios for shows

You ever watch a show and it's just glaringly obvious to a bunch of people. Why don't they try this?

And you go online and a bunch of nerds make a giant 30 min critique about how the show is so full of plotholes, "Bleach" cannot compare.

And while I may not have the scientific mind for that, I at least have the presence of mind to state the obvious that most people would also be able to
think up by themselves. Or at the very least go "Oh yeah, I'm surprised "xyz" character didn't think of that..."

It doesn't take a PhD or masters in whatever complex field to spot some of these. Especially in the modern fantasy genre. It's pet peeve of mine that
NOONE uses guns or technology to "compliment" or "make up for" there lack of ability/talent etc. This ... is ... annoying. Use a fucking gun you dolt.

I get it... there are the prideful, arrogant types that think their method is the shit and look down on "primitive" technologies when they possess magic
or some futuristic ability, esper powers etc. That's FINE. But when EVERYONE does this shit, it makes the show very linear and kind of, well, nonsensical
and somewhat boring. Again I'm not a genius, I don't have 200 IQ or 4 PHDs, but when someone who supposedly "highly competent" in their respective field
refuses to "go against the grain" and use OTHER, usually VERY OBVIOUS things at their disposal. It really annoys me.

That's my rant. I hope people will open their minds to more interesting characters and scenarios, and possibly work with others, even 1 MORE person on the storyboard can
make a world of difference to the quality of the show. Thank you, lelelewomanwomanwomanface

That's exactly what they did in Star Wars. You have the Jedi on one hand and the masses of Force-incompetent lackeys that just try to shoot you. Granted they did have a rule about how Jedi don't use guns, but you have to focus your training somewhere. It's also symbolic of how they rise above brute force / modernity and stick to the noble ways of the past, which are harder to master but more effective in the end.
