not just making a thread for the controversy of it, lol, i'm curious intertype-wise. because in spite of him being so dangerously influential and willing to jump into conflict i can't shake the feeling when i see him that he's just an insecure and vulnerable goofball. or is it not just me?

Edit: its not attraction, just to be clear. It's more like I see him as a little brother figure leaving streaks in his underwear while playing league of legends too long while I nag him to rinse the ketchup off the plates he used for chicken nuggets. Which i think is a weird feeling for me to have because it seems to clash with who he is objectively.

Most extroverted decisive types along with ILE have cycled through my head but nothing has settled. He does remind me of my own SLE brother a little bit, and maybe that's the extent of my reaction to him, but I think the similarity is mostly coloring and bone structure - along with a sort of bouncy enthusiasm that might be ADHD related in my brothers case. He also seems really ethically savvy even if he's not super smooth in his presentation. (Remembering a video where he basically talked about emotions being just as important as truth and undervalued...too much work to find)

He's very much pre-occupied with the trappings of status, wealth, and power to the point of deliberately adopting affectations to present that kind of image that he feels is a reflection of what he considers to be his truly Patrician interior. He's pretty naturally affable to almost everyone he meets, but as it turns out these often seems to be insincere and a manipulation, consciously or not. He got along well and partnered up with Greg Conte after Conte got fired from teaching, and then they went their separate ways allegedly after Spencer leveraged his "movement" status to sleep with Conte's girlfriend--something Spencer has an alleged habit of doing with single and spoken-for women in the Alt-Right.

A lot of that probably speaks most clearly to his PoLR

Edit: I think his willingness to jump into conflict is a tactic for self-promotion. The "dangerous" public intellectual version of James Bond that deftly ripostes while swirling a martini he's dying to be.

Yeah, its like a kid playing dress up lol.

Do you have an opinion on his type? If that was meant to be inferred it went over my head.

I don't know what IE PoLR that would indicate. In MBTI he strikes like an NTJ which doesn't help much here.

Functionally when he tries to get all rhetorical it feels like he's trying to pantomime (actually effective) Fe orators and it comes off stilted, try-hard, and makes my skin crawl which makes me think his Fe is actually quite weak.

I agree with your impressions. Ive considered both Fe role and Fe HA and maybe it's role. Because it does make me cringe too but in a reflexive "lol you're such a dork, please stop for your own good" kind of way. That smirk he does when he wants to look superior in a cultured way lmao I hate what he stands for but I'm like.. embarrassed on his behalf

Interestingly enough he's much more enjoyable from an entertainment angle when he stops trying to LARP as the pathos-leveraging public intellectual and just gets into some good old antagonizing banter with people. It comes off as much more natural and less pretentious when he's just directly shitting on "Sargon of Akkad." I know a fair few people currently and formerly in that "movement," and none of them were brought around by Spencer but many were alienated by his antics.

My typings are always just best guess based on my impressions compared to other people, so I have no idea what it indicates, but the core goal of his activism and advocacy being primarily self-promotion and positioning himself at the head of something has to be pretty telling. He had already tried and was moving away from "alternative right" before the term became common parlance and then suddenly he's using it again and making himself out to be its leader.

Well shit. That is DA cognition.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, he was using DA cognition in an interview with Vice as well. He said something about how the alt-right started out as trolls, and then trolled their way into seriousness. Really, the whole interview seems DA.

Idk. That said, I wouldn't rule out ILI.

    @ashlesha

Yeah ashlesha, he doesn't seem threatening to me either despite what he's saying- I guess because to me he has this beta male faggy and white limp-dick college frat boy pretentious tone that belies any true malevolence. But to be fair, a lot of people said the same thing about ****** I guess? lol. The Fe sweet ones that don't seem harmful can be the ones that trap us the most!

I like EIE or even SLE for him. But I wouldn't personally like him probably. I don't like people like this not for who they are themselves, but how they encourage other idiots to do sociopathic things.

Maybe he got cucked by a bunch of black guys growing up and this is his way of revenge?

Also how 'objective' really is this persona he's portraying if it's so obviously public? I know Deltas knit things like 'when people tell you who they are believe them' on their pillows, but I think it's like 'hmm the first impression this person gave me was probably some Illuminati Illusion thing they were doing either for their own self-protection, or they're planning something..or maybe they're just being paid to act like a dick.'
