For variants I would say sx/sp
Enneagram - 4w5? (I can see 4w3 but I find it hard to see where the 3 wing is atm), I think he's a 4 if you focus on his subject matter he talks a lot about pain, dark experiences, sadness, there is a heroic side to him also.
For instance The album "It's dark and hell is hot"

Socionics is difficult to type though - I have strongly considered beta NF before, it's still my top options. The other options would be Si leading so far imo but I find it hard to see why he would be a logical type.
    EIE-Ni?

Beta NF seems right, though I never really looked into him. His kind of moody explosiveness resonates in this regard. And lol @ the barking.

    SEE-Fi

just so many Kanye West flashes from @26 mins of this interview. it's like the guy is trying to explain something, yet struggling with it, and amping up his gestures and emotional effects - Ti PoLR

    more Ti-Polr struggles

Sx/sp would fit him, but e4 doesn't seem to match his emotional affect.

E4 is an image type though if you study his whole career everything correlates with 4, his envy of other rappers like Jay-Z for instance or his extra need to be the best from day 1. Also in the behind the music documentary it talks about many motivations of his that has to do with 4 and traits too e.g Heightened sense of empathy. I think him and Ye are 2 very good examples of sx 4's in rap(which is very rare in that genre)
I think what you're describing in that first part about struggling to explain what he's trying to say is actually weak CF Te in MBTI (I could be wrong, I think his MBTI is IXFP), alternatively it could be a sign of weak T in socionics too.

I appreciate the opinion but I have to say I disagree with SEE(another user provided an example of weak socio Se - in lots of interviews you could almost tell he is really struggling whilst being high and it's hard to get through it similar to the Travis Scott example another user provided) - SEE is definitely a great typing and a possibility.

I actually type Kanye as EIE

    Lol
I always felt like the barking was part of his identity which is another reason I typed him as a 4

Yeah lol, I don't know. Superficially I would chalk it up to Se HA, but he could be a really weird Fe-IEI. I'll look into him at some point.

    He’s a P type
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

    DMX is SLE-Se 6w5 sx/so:

He is a great example of the 6w5's Volatile-Self-Protective Gestalt.

    Some others:

    Sky is SLE-Se 2w3 so/sp

    Camilla Poindexter is SLE-Se 7w8 sx/so

[I used to type Camilla 8w7 sx/so. However, she is not quite standing up for herself...she's almost standing up for herself, but not quite...there's still discomfort in her body with showdowns... Saddam demonstrates what the action of standing up for one's self looks like in this clip:

He could be 6w5, high possibility (I think he has a 5 wing for sure) but his whole discography is identity based, idk how to explain it but I notice more traits of a 4 than 6 from him, sx/sp.

That video you used of him is a poor example because he's clearly unhealthy, showing his envy over others and the drugs are having a clear effect.

I'll keep it in mind though

Sky seems ESI or LSI Se subtype for both and Poindexter IEI-Fe, if there is a pattern or similarity between them and DMX then unfortunately I don't notice it.

It's your opinion though so enjoy
