    Default Type my brother?

Please type my big brother, if you will.

Here are some of his traits:

Mischievous child but not too violent/aggressive unless pushed to it
Did get in some fights as a teenager/adult but not excessive

Looked up to "the Fonz" on Happy Days and "Ponch" on CHiPs as a young kid.

EDIT: Don't know if it's relevant but as a little boy sometimes he felt compelled to just yell or scream, to "get it out" he'd say in explanation to my mom.

Worshipped our LSE dad and wanted to be just like him

Natural leader (always led younger siblings as a kid, any group of friends; as an older teenager he already felt responsible for our family along with my dad, and as an adult other people always listened to him or did what he said, you could tell people felt they needed to please him for some reason). As kids he would put himself in charge of feeling for loose teeth and he'd even pull them for us if we let him when they were ready. He taught my LSI brother (the baby of the family) that if he asked the LSI, "What are you gonna do?" then the LSI should answer: "Everything you say." He thought this was quite funny.

Thrill seeking (i.e. racing BMX bikes as a kid - was interested in BMX bikes but then started racing and immediately dominated and started winning every race; into snowboarding, rock climbing, driving fast cars, started using drugs and drinking at a pretty young age unfortunately)

Gun collector/expert (owned hundreds of guns)

Liked the outdoors - went to Costa Rica for honeymoon and loved to camp, surf Used to go deep sea fishing

    Probably Enneagram 3

Effortlessly cool (maybe he put effort into it but people wouldn't know it?), exuded natural charisma and drew people to him

Funny and would make up clever nicknames for people spontaneously. Could be quite profuse and clever with speaking and wordplay when he felt like it.

    Very generous with money

Interested in keeping up with pop culture and latest trends/fashions

Read books by the thousands, and especially liked nonfiction - quite brilliant in some ways though not given to philosophizing. Interested in medical stuff, surgery, had considered becoming a doctor.

Always seemed to have girls after him but actually had just a few serious relationships and took any breakup very hard (even when he was the one to do the breaking up)

A natural in business/sales etc., lived a bit beyond his means at times although always then seemed to find ways to rise to the top of a company or make money easily to make up for it - very much liked a wealthy lifestyle (fancy restaurants, parties, flashy cars, slick suits, expensive sunglasses, etc.)

Trained by my dad in construction and liked to sometimes build interesting furniture

Music: Loved Johnny Cash and Morrissey

My relationship with him was good but I felt like he held me to a very high unspoken standard. I considered him my protector though all my life, and he really was. As adults he might call me and ask how I was doing and bring something up in my life I didn't think he could possibly know about. He'd say, "Your big brother sees everything." He was always extremely good to me and let me know if any guy treated me poorly he would "take care of it." Haha

He was closest in age to our LII brother (they were just two years apart). As small children they were always together and he would speak for the LII, and lead the way for him in everything. Later when he was 12 we moved to another state and he met new friends and then left the LII in the cold. It took years for them to reconnect and it was always a sort of strained relationship.

He died at 34 after a terrible battle with alcohol and drugs and, in a situation where he faced five years of certain prison time (I can elaborate if necessary), he committed suicide. He was extremely beloved to a huge number of people and hid his problems very well (from most people). At the end of his life he was in Alcoholics Anonymous and went to meetings every single day in an effort to stay clean. He helped a lot of other people he knew in AA but sadly he could not help himself.

Some of the types I've considered for him are LIE, SLE, EIE. Just not sure.

Ask any follow up questions you like.

I've attached some photos below. The woman in one of the photos was his wife, not sure of type though pretty sure xSFx.

He looks like a Gamma Extrovert. I'm guessing SEE.

Nice suit. He had good taste.

    *EDIT*
Almost everything you said about him applies to SEE's.
If he were SEE, his relationship with the LII was close to the ILI mark, but not perfect, of course.
Compare him to this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubztYMkI3fY

I never have considered introversion for him. Very interesting. It's possible I suppose.

I mean I do see a similarity there (between my brother and George Ezra). It's also weird because my brother's name is actually Ezra. Hmm. A close childhood friend (a boy) always reminded me of the same brother and he REALLY reminds of me of George Ezra. Something to think about, for sure. I never considered ESFp for his type.

Question - I forgot to mention this in the opening post but can ESFps be excellent at destroying someone with a word? My brother wasn't mean too often but if angry enough he could cut someone with a verbal knife in a way that was really hard to bounce back from. He knew exactly how to verbally attack a person at their weakest point, basically leaving them speechless.

The more I think about SEE the more it fits. As an adult he would walk through the mall with my mom and never feel embarrassed for instance to put his arm around her and show affection. I didn't consider things like this but he was quite an affectionate person... hmm!

Oh, yes. Here's another SEE who is an investigative reporter. https://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/

Scroll down to "Moral Cretins" and "Whose side are you on?"

Well that was just wild guess from VI. Didn't took much attention to it. :-) Ok maybe he's extroverted.

Now I've read and I think LSE would fit.
Sad to hear such a story.

Thank you, falsehope. Yeah... it was a tragedy and we were devastated for years. Still dealing with it.

LSE could be. I definitely am considering SEE and LSE carefully for him now.

ISFj (maybe Se subtype) may fit for her.

    Thanks. <3
