Back to the Basics ! Patrick Rondat is one of my heroes ! He had a huge influence on my play and style. I met him several Times he's the nicest person I ever met . I remember once back in 2004 I went to Paris especially for one of his concerts (I go to Paris only for musical events even if my brother lives there) and since I like to always be in front of the stage I always go on site very early. This time my sister in law wanted to come with me (Note that she's a French Muslimah wearing a Hijab going to a Metal concert !). As we were waiting in front of the concert hall, music start to play at some point. It was the rehearsals of the concert (in fact they were also filming the concert because a DVD was to be released) and I wanted to enter in the concert hall but I was shy, not my sister in law ! So we entered, there were only a few persons, Patrick was on stage we asked If we could stay just for a minute but they refused however Patrick intervened and said that it was okay ! I went to see him check his hand on stage and he told us that we could stay no problem. So we stayed for the whole rehearsal which was a full concert ! So that day we were lucky enough to see him perform live twice ! I was convinced that he'll remember all his life the time a guy and a woman wearing a Hijab came to his concert ! Anyways, I had the occasion to see him and talk with him several times since that event and he indeed remembered me !
