I'm getting more into atonal music. It's refreshing to listen to. Who needs melodies anyway.

The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

@ephemera idk if this is your style but it's kind of quirky (I prefer the beginning because after a certain point, it gives me a headache)

2:36 is when it changes up and really kicks into gear.

This one always amazes me, it's lovely. Iva Bittova plays the Devil amazingly, it gives me shivers everytime.
Alfred Schnittke's Faust Cantata (1983), famous for its tango sung through the microphone by the Devil with the mocking comments on the cruel death of Faust, became the third act of the opera. When premiered in 1995, the opera was performed in an abridged version; it has never been performed or recorded complete.
Translation of the lyrics (it might has mistakes):
That night at midnight a great wind blew up
As if it wanted to destroy Faust's home and obliterate everything.
Upstairs the desperate students leapt out of their beds
They heard dreadful noises as if the house were full of snakes and other terrible worms
Faustus cried, "Help!" and "Murder!" but soon his voice died away.
When it was light the students went into his room:
The room was spattered in blood
His brain clung to the wall
The devil had thrown him all about
Eyes and teeth were scattered around
It was a gruesome and grisly sight!
They found his body on a dunghill
It was still twitching.
