Default Back to the Future (All 3 Movies)

I'm not sure on these but here's some guesses.

    Marty: ESTp or ESFp

    Biff: ESTp

    Lorraine McFly: ESFj

    George McFly: IXTj

    Doc' Brown: ENTp

Clara, the schoolteacher and Doc' Brown's girlfriend in BTTF III ??? I've been wondering about her, do you think she's his dual?

    What are your takes?

And if you can think of anybody else noteworthy in those movies, type away...

I think those movie's characters are not really good for typing but anyway --

Not an ESTp. Perhaps ESFp or ENFp.

Ha, my stereotypical image of an ENTp has, for some time, been a conglomeration of Doc Brown, Dave Chapelle, John Stewart, and Albert Einstein
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Me too - do you think Clara that schoolteacher Doc fell in love with was his dual or something close?

Clara was caring but didn't come off as and Fe type. I suppose she could be ENFp? I don't think she's ISFp. How about INFj for her. (haven't seen it in a while though)

    Doc Brown: ENTp.
    George McFly: INTj
    Marty: ENFp>ENTp?
    EIE, ENFj, intuitive subtype.
    E3 (probably 3w4)

Doc Brown is definitely an ENTp, but Christopher Lloyd is great a VI example for ISTp.

Edit: I think INTj may be more appropriate as far as his VI.

    Default Back to the Future

Here are my guesses to the characters of this movie:

    Marty McFly - ENFp
Dr. Emmett Brown - ENTp-Ti (The prototypical "mad scientist." Although an
argument for INTj could be made as well. Tell me what you think about this one - it is of great
    interest to me.)
    George McFly - INFj
    Biff Tannen - ESTp

Ah man, I liked this movie so much!

Marty and Biff you have right... I think that you have Dr. Brown right too... (I forget George's personality--need to see it again.)

Brown is ILE or I'll eat my hat. And seeing as I'm not wearing one, that might be quite difficult.

Having Biff as a supervisor would make sense. What type do you think that the mother is?

Healthy, full-confident George may very well supervise Marty. Though Marty was "supervising" merely out of self-preservation and not necessarily from a Socionics understanding of it.

If George is EII, I don't think I'm EII.

Doc Brown as ENTp and Marty as ENFp are convincing, as is Biff as a "badass" ESTp.

I don't think George's personality can be accurately typed. Neither EIIs nor LIIs are really like that imo.

I think that the films are essentially Delta in character but heavy on which is why they may appear Alpha-ish. It's essentially about Doc and Marty, with all other characters either secondary (George, Lorraine etc) or as the villain (Biff).

In that case that wasn't it, what else I was going to ask is, how much more plausible is it for your Look-Alike to provoke the same disgust? Remember LII and EII share the same greatest vunerability. Unless maybe you're just disgusted by a worst-case of your own vunerability.

Something else to consider is that the actor Crispin Glover is possibly ILI. (There's a Letteman interview on Gamma that suggests Se > Si values.) Is it the script or the performance that bothers you more?
It's a combination of factors where I don't even connect with his character on any level whatsoever. Of course a good deal of this is glover's over the top portrayal of patheticness, but the scripting bothers me immensely as well. If that's what Se PoLR is (even though a gross exaggeration), I can't see myself as having that much at all.

Sure I don't like Se and I think people use it in a lot of instances where they can get by without it, but there's no way I would take the kind of stuff George did without snapping back. My attitude would have been far closer to Marty's than George's. I love my compromises, but with some people that simply doesn't work. In that case you have to 'communicate' with them on their level.
