    Default The16types Typings Spreadsheet

Many of you remember the old spreadsheet, but it had gotten messy and cluttered with inactives, so I was encouraged to make a new one. @Raver is my assistant. There is a seperate tab for enneagram that can be seen at the bottom.

    Here It Is

-You may add forumites to the bottom of the far-left column (or add-a-row in alphabetical order) and I can adjust the format later.
-You may input your own self-typing. That is your box. (If you are 100% sure of someone else's self-typing and think they might not get to it, you can add that in too. But that's not your box.)
-You are entitled to one column in both socionics and enneagram tabs. You can pick your own font and color your own name at the top and add notes and personalize it. If you need a column, take an available blank one. This is the column you use to tell the world (or the forum) what you type other forumites.
-If you really don't want to be included, you can ask to have your name removed. But that would make people sad. (Don't remove anyone on your own. That's up to Raver and myself.)

Great! I hope many will participate

EDIT: I noticed the spreadsheet has a history function so one can see recent changes to the document. Perfect for spying on people

The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

It is probably wise to protect your own column. Select the letter of the column, right click and select Protect area (I don't have English version).

    Lightbulb Suggestion

It will be better if ppl keep reasonable spaces for their typings and use decent colors. Changing text color is enough, no need for highlighting texts (we all are seeing that you are there), It makes reading more simple and doesnt hurt the eyes of ppl.

Calling people "inactives" sounds like some sinister term from Blade Runner. I prefer the term "ex-users", because this suggests they have overcome their addiction.

    Lightbulb advice

I would be good to put the link to the spreadsheet somewhere visible. Like in the main menue.

Now when it is buried in "Anything goes" it will slowly fade when people forget it.

It's hard to keep this spreadsheet alive because there are no discussions here that will keep the thread fresh in "New posts".

I don't appreciate the decision to not include some legendary and controversial members I had added (Gilly, discojoe, ashton, UDP, rick, expat, galen). They may be inactive, but it's easy to run into their posts browsing the forum.

I dislike the worship of these old forum gods.

But its interesting how even internet forums give birth to mythological beings. Even if its just very early stages of mythology.

I got a few alternative typings, which I like. Those are some types that I have seriously considered in the past. They're not too different from my self typing as well.

Sure, why not? The legendary inactives are worth typing at least. Someone who got ten posts 10 years ago though, probably not worth typing.

Btw, may I suggest moving this thread to what's my type and stickying it there? It might possibly fit better there than anything goes.

They're controversial with good reason. We have to make sense of the spreadsheet's purpose first though. If it is for people finding out about their own types then they can be excluded. If it is for everyone finding out about everyone, then they also have to be excluded as they don't participate themselves. It's aiming for democratic synergy and mutuality after all. If it is mere documentation for its own sake, then: green light! What I secretly suspect though: What was indicated was a question of deserving and relevance/popularity. Then it has to be subjective which is more difficult. I'd have some aversion to mindless worship and legacy cult but they'd be equal in the list and even at a disadvantage since they can't vote? My feeling - as a second generation member that is not too familiar with them - says we can try it, no harm's done, and see what happens. It would be interesting to have consensus there.

I've quit this forum and Socionics plenty of times for months or even years and I just ended up going to other forums that were even more addictive. So I think this place and Socionics is not too bad as long as you don't look at it religiously. Taking it all with a grain of salt is what I learned from leaving this place.

Having the Socionics filter on in everyday life can be fun, but it can also be very disappointing if you don't realize that it's just a filter that alters your perception of others around you. Socionics is a perspective with some basis on reality, but it is limited in scope so it should not be taken too seriously.

You could say that anyone is fair game, but that's really the only problem I see with it, besides getting so many names on there that it's overwhelming, kind of like the last one.
Yes. Definitely true And vice versa: what happens to columns of people that weren't typed at all by anybody in the enneagram tab (there are many more gaps) once it expands? Delete or keep? We'll have to wait to sort it out later.

As for the practical solution, well they don't know they're there in the first place, it's 50-50. Maybe they can be removed when it gets too chaotic and their columns stay mostly unused because fewer people know about them, that could occur.

Best case to keep the overview and find relevant things would be when

    - we have a frequency-o-meter that propels the most-used columns to the top But that would ruin the alphabetical order so meh
    - we could see percentages of TIM results ("60% voted LSE" or "16 people voted SEI" or something) in the left column so you don't have to scroll to the right so see all the people's votes.

lol lets turn the spreadsheet into a safe space not an informative one, I formally request all but my self typing be removed. if that's too cheeky and its all or nothing just take me off completely

how dare we develop a holographic representation of the ecosystem on 16t

    someone could be harmed

this actually makes it the worst of both worlds, because instead of getting a harmful holograph you just a harmful nebula that amounts to group consensus bullying (predicated on the notion that types against will are somehow unwelcome). it degrades the picture while ameliorating none of the alleged harm, making the over all risk utility straight worse

I moved the thread. And I added the "legends" to the spreadsheet, but in grey.
@fox Raver is in charge of backing it up. I don't know how to password protect it. @lynn Your name is added to the left side. You can make your own column.

Whose columns are Q (Jesus) and R (anonymous)? Pm me if you have an issue with using your forum name and perhaps we can arrange something. But I'm not comfortable with having completely unknown sources due to the risk of people making multiple columns or of an outsider getting the link and goofing off.

    awesome, thanks abbie

I've been unconsciously associating forumites with gulenko's cognitive styles, but I'm still in the process of identifying their sociotypes. I like lavos' typings and I may or may not agree with all of subteigh's typings. I expected more variation with mine, so now I'm almost tempted to mention a detail that would throw off everyone's typing of me, like how I have a dead body hidden in my basement, which I don't, but there's a dead something down there, maybe.

but uh, which alpha is messing around with the spreadsheet?

wait I don't actually see anything wrong with the spreadsheet unless Subteigh's weird placeholder letter types are something
