I'm Alex;

What do you study or do for a living? How did you come to do that? What do you like or dislike about it?

I'm in high school (11th grade);
I'm attending a scientific lyceum;
I'm doing IGCSEs (Mathematics, Geography, English, Physics, Biology);
I've chosen this school because it's the best one in my area;
I don't like school because we are forced to learn too many useless facts instead of using our own brains to discuss about interesting topics which require deep thoughts, creativity and intuition.

What are your values, and why?

The key word is justice. Anything else is of secondary importance;
I value coherence, because what you say must be what you do;
I value honesty, because lies are for children;
I value modesty, because we're just human beings and no one has superpowers;
I value intelligence, because it's the best gift we possess and we need to exploit it fully;
I value introspection, because the aim of life is to find who you really are;
I value equality, because it's logical to do it;
I value kindness, because who likes rude people?

What else do you do on a daily basis? What are your interests and hobbies? Why do you do them?

I love music, it's maybe the best things I've ever had;
I play the bass, the violin and the drums (two bands and church choir);
I listen to Green Day, Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay, Ramones (Alternative Rock), but also Beethoven;
I'm interested in typology, because I like rationalizing everything about myself and others around me;
I have an obsession with dates, I have a wide collection of past events linked to a song, a symbol, a number, an sensation or even an emotion.
I have a vivid inner world, where introspection is at the basis. This makes me very conscientious but also very deep and thoughtful;
I collect anything that can be categorized (e.g. coins and stamps).

What do you look for in friends? In romantic relationships?

In friends, I look for someone who laughs at my (subtle) jokes and is able to emotionally involve me into the discussion;
I'm not interested in (serious) romantic relationships yet, but I like unpredictable girls who are always at the center of the attention but also very introverted girls who hide behind their beautiful shyness;
I'm starting to flirt with someone, just for fun, and it seems to work quite well. Just saying, I'm sure to be a human being now.

What conflicts have you encountered recently with other people? Why did they happen? Which kinds seem to happen on a regular basis?

I hate when people try to take advantage of me. If I notice it, I can become the angriest SLE in the world;
I hate when people don't keep their promises, because is not logical and not respectful;
I hate hypocrisy, because it's incoherence in its purest form;
These are most of the reasons why I have conflicts with others. Also, because of their immaturity, which is disgusting and funny at the same time.

How would your friends describe you?

I'm very stubborn, I like doing things my own way;

After the "self-control limit", I literally can't control rage;
I'm not very open to new sensorial experiences (e.g. food);

In what areas of life can you manage well on your own? In what areas of your life would you like help?

I'm very independent, I always avoid asking for help;
I need help in being more confident and less afraid of others;
I need help in being more spontaneous and emotional;
I need help in being more easy-going.

I hate routine, but I know it's necessary;
I completely dislike studying history;
I don't like using public transports;

What goals, aspirations, or plans do you have for the future? How did you come to have them?

I'd like to be a statistician, because I love mathematics.
If you allow me to dream, then musician would be by far my first choice.
I don't want to be famous, but I'd like close people to remember me after my death.

If you had enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life without working, what would you do with your time?

I'd spend my life immersed in music, research and reflection. Sleep is for losers.

What traits do you find endearing that others might dislike? What traits are considered positive/neutral by others but tend to annoy you?

I like my weirdness. I'm proud to be/act/feel different.
Someone may find my deep introversion boring. It's their problem, definitely not mine.
I dislike people who take drugs/get drunk just to be "cool". Someone may find them "cool". I'm not sure what they mean when they say "cool".

What kinds of things do you do to manage and/or beautify your environment (your room, your house, etc.)? What do you think of daily chores?

Nothing, really;
I don't care about appearance, I need an "essential" house;
Daily chores are boring but strictly necessary. There's nothing we can do.

How do you behave around strangers?

I'm silent and I never take the initiative;
If someone asks me something I'm usually kind;
If he/she's making fun of me, I laugh and immediately go away.

How do you react to conflict? What do you do if somebody insults or attacks you?

I either completely withdraw (80%) or transform into an angry SLE (20%).

What is one common misconception that people have? Explain why it is wrong.

You're smart, then you'll get good grades. This is completely wrong. And stressful;
People always have high expectations on me. And this is slowly killing me.

What did you do last Friday?

School, homework, swimming pool, TV, music, sleep.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

There is no accomplishment. Life is not about that.

What is something you regret?

I regret being to distant from friends during my pre-adolescence. I think I've lost 3-4 years of my social life.

What's been on your mind? Has anything been worrying or concerning you? What problems have you encountered lately?

I'm having some kind of "school crisis" this days. Everything seems to go in the wrong direction, no matter what I do. Grades are dramatically falling but I'm feeling quite apathetic about it. What's happening to me?

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs and why do you hold them?

I'm an agnostic. I go to church every Sunday but faith is something different than "practicing".

What are your political beliefs, and why? To what extent do you care about politics?

Politics? No thanks.

Would you ever be interested in starting a business? Why or why not? What role would you play in it? What kind of business would it be?

Not really. In any case, I'd be the boss. I don't want to be a subordinate in my own business activity.

What kind of work environment do you prefer? What do you look for in a job?

A merry environment. There needs to be a good atmosphere, it influences my performances a lot.
In a job I look for something interesting. I'll do whatever job, as long as it really interests me.

What is or was your favorite school subject and why?

Mathematics. I love numbers and logical reasoning. Even though sometimes I can have problems with it, our love/hate relationship will never end.

How do you approach responsibility? What do you tend to expect of others?

I'm dutiful;
I have a tendency to procrastinate, but I'll always be able to complete the task on time;
From others I expect to give their best.

Where did you go on your most recent vacation? What did you do there? How did you like it and why?

I went to the sea with my family. The most boring days of my summer, because lying on the beach all day is just pointless.

If your point is that he's an Intuitive but you were asking whether Ne or Ni, the last statement should hint at that pretty strongly, and also, he's a clear Ij and Ti-lead type. Otherwise, sure, his overall introversion will result in coming off a bit Ni-ish as well.

Also IEI or ILI wouldn't have Fe seeking like this: "I need help in being more spontaneous and emotional".

A lot of that is Ti-lead with very strong Ij temperament or Enneagram 1.

Here's the LII stuff, some of which totally excludes LSI:

1. The strong Intuitive statements I listed above.

2. Se-devaluing / negative views on Se:

"I don't care about appearance, I need an "essential" house;"
"There is no accomplishment. Life is not about that."
"Appearance is the only criteria that others use to judge you."

3. A few other statements don't fit with LSI:

"I hate routine, but I know it's necessary;" (seems like low Si or lower than LSI's anyway)

Ummm... Just ask yourself: How do I react to strong soothing emotional expression?

Well, it depends.
Usually, when someone close to me is expressing strong emotions (happiness, sadness, anger), I tend to empathize a lot with him/her internally, but I'm not able to give an emotional support/reaction externally.
Let's say, I'm very influenced by the mood of people around me: I'm happy only if I'm sure that everyone is happy and having a good time.
Talking about soothing emotional expressions, when I notice that they're fake I just start to laugh. If they're genuine expressions though, I feel extremely awkward and embarrassed at first, but I'm very happy to receive them and, for this reason, I try to reply in the kindest way possible. The strange thing is, when those emotional expressions are displayed by my parents or my relatives I always react negatively, brutally asking them not to touch me anymore. But it happens only with them, not with friends. Anyway, my friends notice my awkwardness. That's why they always define me "unemotional" or "cold", even if it's not exactly what I really am inside.

@Sol: I highly recommend you to visit Italy. Your choice are very good (especially Florence). By the way, what do you think about the questionnaire, if you've read it? Thanks.

About mathematics:
It's by far my favorite subject. The feeling of satisfaction after having completed an exercise is something priceless. Because everything makes sense and it's just damn beautiful. Anyway, when I can't solve an exercise, I tend to withdraw instead of keeping trying, because I don't believe in my capabilities (low self-esteem, I know). This leads me to be quite inconstant with grades, either getting very good grades or getting very bad grades and never keeping a stable pace.

Why is it called the "Rational" subtype if Rational IEs (higher Ti, higher Te) are balanced by Irrational IEs (higher Si, higher Se) and, thus, there is no prevalence (in terms of Dimensionality) of Rational IEs over Irrational IEs? Shouldn't a LII-Ti be as rational as a LII and as a LII-Ne? Or is it called like that just because people confuse the Inert/Contact subtype (which involves the whole Model A) with the Dominant/Creative subtype (which involves just one IE, therefore unbalancing the Model A)? I really don't think there is any validity to any of those theories lol. I would think it does mean higher Rationality with strengthened Thinking (and Fe in the jungian unconscious) and that's about it.

I can relate to that. I was the same way until I reached the age of around 30.
I hated being the center of attention, being watched by other people while talking about myself.

Shouldn't a LII-Ti be as rational as a LII and as a LII-Ne?

From my own experience.
LII-Ne is more irrational, more spontanous and outgoing, but also more absent-minded than LII-Ti.
I guess I'm more comfortable with using less Ti for a limited time than a LII-Ti, but sometimes I also more prone to make some errors of fact as consequence – following "the paths of intuition instead of logic".

We both share the dislike of routine and history. Both are signs of the future orientation of intution.

tbh.: I have a love-hate relationship with existing typology systems.
