8. I'd say 4w3 is more likely than 3. All image management he does is in service of his pride and saiyan specialness.

Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

Compare him to goku; goku thinks big, he always has the Earth and his comrades in his mind when he fights. Vegeta, especially when in his beginnings, was just a spoiled brat who thought himself better than everyone else. In other words; a 3w2 narcissist.
Goku is like a mix between a 7 and a 2.
3 is heavily image oriented. Vegeta couldn't give a fuck what other people think about him. Vegeta doesn't even give a fuck about your opinion of the fucks he gives. A 3 doesn't think they're better than everyone else, a 3 cares whether other people think they're better than everyone else.
He's not a narcissist. He's a psychopath. He doesn't want recognition for how great he is, he simply wants to be the greatest. It's internal verification, not external affirmation he craves.

That's because he is SLE. My point still stands because he DOES give a fuck about being seen as the greatest saiyan in the universe. An 8 would just be concerned with getting stronger and stronger with no regards as to how they are perceived. Like Goku.
8s can and often so care about greatness (I mean, come on- Trump talks about how great he is every other sentence). Vegeta is an absolutely textbook 8- and he does care about protecting others; this comes up with his family in particular.
3s are much more smooth and adaptable than Vegeta is; they generally don't go around imposing their will on everyone to get their way, and they don't care about "greatness" as much as 8s do. CP 6 is more probable...but still unlikely, since Geets is far too forceful and direct and egomaniacal.
Goku has no 8 in him at all except maybe as a wing. He's an obvious 9-fix, though probably 79x. 8 for Goku is crazy.
