Ni if you think deeply on what you could do but do nothing about it because you are afraid of choosing and failing. Then, you get depressed because you are not having the results you'd like to have because you have been thinking instead of doing, which makes you think even more and therefore do even less.

Ne if you start doing stuff without even thinking deeply about it. Then, you get depressed because you discover that there is other stuff that you could be doing instead of the this other thing that you are already doing, which means that you drop the thing, generally unfinished.

Ne valuing or how to puzzle Ne ignoring types:

Ne can be seen as subtext. What those videos truly implied?

Ni are the roots, searching for depth and stability beneath the surface.

Ne are the branches, extending to the vast, open sky.

Both are part of the intuitive tree.
Important to note! People who share "indentical" socionics TIMs won't necessarily appear to be very similar, since they have have different backgrounds, experiences, capabilities, genetics, as well as different types in other typological systems (enneagram, instinctual variants, etc.) all of which also have a sway on compatibility and identification. Thus, Socionics type "identicals" won't necessarily be identical i.e. highly similar to each other, and not all people of "dual" types will seem interesting, attractive and appealing to each other.

I have the mix of the two...

Being afraid to do something just in the possibility that there could be something better. I almost treat dating like this too in that I have to wait for the best to come my way or else I might get stuck in a relationship limited to only that person.

How will you know they are the best when they come your way?

There is a theorem which can be applied to making choices with respect to potential partners or finding a good place to have lunch. It is called the "Optimal stopping problem", but it presumes that you are willing to start, and it does not guarantee the best outcome. Merely the best chance of the best outcome.

Nice analogy. It could also work for Fi/Fe.

    That sounds more like Ni.
Ni is the one who waits and doubts because of fear.
Ne doesn't doubt to start new things, when it gets bored, starts considering new and different possibilities.

    Default Heavy vs light

Ni is obsessive about just a few things/ideas. Ne is more of an idea whore. Similar to how Si is partial to particular/specific sensations (more pleasent ones), Se is more of a sensation whore.

Se-Ni enjoys intensity, extremes, challenge/difficulty. It's a little masochistic (and perhaps sadistic?) in nature at times. Whereas, from what I have seen from personal interactions over time, Si-Ne does NOT like difficulty/challenge. It does not get excited/exhileration from struggle. Ni-Se is kind of dark, edgy, twisted and heavy. Si-Ne is light (hearted), warm, silly/quirky and seeks comfort above all.

    At least that's my impression
